Jordan

Jordan is one of the most popular tourism destinations in the Middle East, thanks to its reputation for safety and stability and its incredible cultural and natural attractions including deserts, seas, mountains and ancient cities. The capital Amman is a modern city with ancient roots. Relax in a shisha bar, dine in rooftop restaurants and alley cafes, and visit historic attractions such as the King Abdullah Mosque, the Roman Theatre and the Amman Citadel.
Petra is perhaps the most well-known place in Jordan. The ancient city was first settled around 11,000 years ago and is famous for its buildings carved from rose-coloured rock and its water conduit system. Approach the city on foot through the Siq Gorge, see the cliffside buildings, climb the steps to The Monastery, and see the city lit up at night.
There is plenty more to see in Jordan. Visit a wellness retreat at the Dead Sea or just float on the salty water, explore the Roman ruins of Jerash, see the Seven Pillars of Wisdom and camp under the stars with the Bedouins at Wadi Rum, or go canyoning in the mountain rivers.
