Famous for its relaxed way of life, reggae music and tropical weather, Jamaica is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Caribbean. There are plenty of luxury beach resorts along the coast taking advantage of the beautiful beaches, clear water and warm sun.
Water sports can be found everywhere, including kayaking, windsurfing, kiteboarding, jetskiing, snorkelling and diving. Spot turtles at Surprise reef, and incredible underwater structures, sharks and rays at Montego Bay. Land-based sport lovers will find hiking trails on the island’s Blue Mountains.
To make the most of what Jamaica has to offer you should head into the cities and soak up the local culture. No trip to Kingston is complete without visiting the Bob Marley Museum, celebrating the life of the country’s most famous resident. You can also take a tour around historic Fort Charles and watch a cricket game at Sabina Park. Don’t forget to sample some of the country’s excellent produce – coffee and rum.
