Zambia’s tourism market is in its early stages, and as such you will find some of Africa’s best safari locations without the crowds of people. The southern end of the country touches on Victoria Falls, the world’s largest waterfall. You can view the falls from Zambia, or walk across the bridge to Zimbabwe for an up-close experience at the bottom. You can also raft the mighty Zambezi River with a selection of experiences ranging from beginner to expert, or view the river and waterfall by jetboat or aeroplane. South Luangwa National Park has the densest population of leopards in Africa, as well as plenty of other wildlife including the rare hunting dogs, lions, elephants, giraffe, hippo, crocodiles, monkeys, fabulous birds, and many more. As well as the usual 4WD safaris, you can explore the park on foot with the guidance of a trained ranger in a walking safari. For different landscapes and wildlife experiences, check out Kafue National Park, Liuwa Plain National Park, Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park and Lower Zambesi National Park.
