We went to Tamassa resort for the day and I couldn’t fault the service we received. From the warm welcome at the front desk, to the great service form restaurant and bar staff, our experience was second to none. All the facilities and grounds were clean and up to standard. We had the choice of 3 child friendly swimming pools which was a bonus with a 3year old! The changing rooms had showers and very spacious, ideal for those who don’t have day room use. The food at the buffet was scrumptious and there was a variety to choose from. The all inclusive package is such a good deal and great for the whole family. Tables were cleared promptly to make space for more food😅 special thanks to Chef Jean Edinho. We will definitely be coming back and hopefully with overnight stay! Thank you for making our day extra special.

Had the most amazing two weeks at this hotel. All I can say is the staff are excellent so warm and friendly absolutely nothing they aren't able to do for you to make your stay so so good. A massive thank you to our waiter Altaaf who worked in the restaurant and made us feel so very special from day 1. Thank you Altaaf Also Ali from the beach bar who looked after us so well by carrying our sun beds to the beach and once settled making sure we had drinks and waiter service whilst there. His sense of humour was great. Thank you Ali. All staff were amazing and would like to Thank you all for a wonderful stay and service

The staff are caring , friendly and helpful a special thanks to all those who were there on 23.05.23 for the day shift. A special thanks to chef Edhingo i guess if am not mistaken the pastry chef. He was very caring and giv his assistance throughout our lunch at the buffet and for the birthday cake. I really love the touch of the staff there and the food was yummy😉 I recommend it for holiday n i will be back for a stay very soon Keep up the good job ahead . We visited Tamassa in March and had the most incredible holiday. We had wanted to return to the Maldives after our honeymoon in 2021 but had been recommended Mauritius as a similar experience without the price tag! We booked with Tui and got an incredible deal for 10 nights all inclusive for a family of 3. We chose Tamassa as it looked really family friendly and can confirm that was the case when we got there. The hotel is spotlessly clean and absolutely beautiful. There are three pools, we never struggled to get a sun bed at any time. The beach is incredible, we spent many hours marveling at all the tropical fish although be warned the current is quite strong and water shoes come in handy! The staff were all really friendly and my 5 year old daughter loved the activities at the kids club. We gave her the option as to what she wanted to do each morning and she’d always choose to spend a couple of hours there. They did t-shirt painting, rock fishing and a boat trip to name a few activities and the staff were always amazing with her. I was 5 months pregnant when we visited and had an incredible massage in the spa - definitely worth a visit! The hotel had a great selection of non alcoholic cocktails available which was great for me as well. Food on the whole was very good. The buffet restaurant got busy at times but there was rarely a long wait for a table. The burger truck was great at lunch times and we also enjoyed some really nice meals at the a la carte restaurant on the beach. Not having to book at lunchtimes was a real bonus and we visited 4 times in the evening too. We did have some rainy days which is to be expected in cyclone season but usually these were short heavy showers. We did have one day of ‘biblical’ rain but didn’t mind that too much when the weather had been pretty much perfect otherwise. Definitely advise bringing mosquito spray and plug-ins. We all got covered in bites after being a bit too liberal with keeping the door closed! Another highlight for us was swimming with wild dolphins. We booked through a vendor on the beach who hands out cards during the day time. Make sure you haggle on the price though. One day it would be 70 euros and the next it would be 50. He didn’t charge for my daughter either which was good and we had practically a private tour with two guides. The weather wasn’t great but it meant it was quieter when we actually saw the dolphins. Definitely a once in a lifetime experience - so glad we did it! I think the only constructives would be not having to sign for every single drink we consumed. I think all inclusive wristbands might be a better system. Would definitely return! Hopefully in the not too distant future.

Visited Tamassa Resort for the first time today for Mother’s Day Celebration and had a really nice and cosy time with the family. The food was really very nice with a lot of varieties. The truck burger was splendid with amazing desserts. Would definitely recommend to friends and families in the future. The staff were actually very friendly and welcoming, especially Chef Edinho and team who left no stone unturned to resolve all queries and made sure that we had a good experience overall. I recently had the pleasure of having breakfast at Tamassa Resort and it was an unforgettable experience.I want to thank Mr Giany the RM and without forgetting the RDM Mr Nishad from management team.From the moment I arrived, i was warmly welcomed by the staff of front desk the Asst FOM Mrs Hemlata,Avishay and team,who went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction. Also without forgeting the Kitchen team Chef Edino who kept in mind our allergens provided us with his outstanding speciality Dimple,Wendy,Yovana also and from the F & B team Mr Kumar,Christophe and specially Mrs Leena and Mrs Dilshad who came to check on us constantly with their exceptional service, Big Up to security team as well, you all made my short time truly memorable.Highly recommended!Will surely come for stay soon🫶

Great and the best atmosphere ever.. its the best hotel to relax and have fun with family. The service was beyond and above expectations. Big thanks to chef Sandiren, Edinho and Kunal. Also Devianee and yovanna from the burger truck and Altaaf from the restaurant.. We also had a personalised heart shaped pizza by the chef..he (couldn't remember his name) was so generous (big thanks to him) My parents really loved the gift and will surely join again soon.

We went to Tamassa Resort to celebrate our mum's 60th birthday and at the same time, trying to enjoy the few days left before my sister and niece were flying back to UK. It was indeed a memorable day for us, mainly that we wanted to keep everything low keep as we recently lost our dad of Cancer, and cheering up our mother has been a bit delicate since. All the staffs we met were simply amazing and so caring. A special thanks goes to Chef Jean Edinho and Chef Jean Marc team for the hospitality, great customer service and care during our visit. Keep up with the excellent job guys! It is not always easy, but you all still do it with a smile. Thank you again for everything !

Magnificent Resort with kind caring staff.

This is a fantastic and remarkable resort. We stayed for 7 days during the end of May this year. Upon arrival, the lovely scented aroma hits you and we were greeted fondly by reception staff who are genuinely very polite , caring and kind. Although our room was not ready ( we arrived at 10;30am ! ) they provided us with a transit room allowing us to freshen up whilst our room was being prepared. The Superior room was large with so much space and storage , with a nice big shower room and bath tub. We went all inclusive and the breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner was plentiful with so much choice of dishes, local and international. The resort has so many facilities and recreation options in addition to daily live shows in the evenings and entertainers during the evening meal. The swimming pools are large and always clean, the beach was less than a minute from our room, it was never crowded and there were ample deck chairs and loungers available. The scenery is magnificent at any time of the the day especially sunset. The gardens, pathways and lawns are kept in top condition and very clean. We were amazed at the politeness, courtesy, care and the genuine willingness to help from all the staff. They would go out of their way to ensure you have the best experience and they are always smiling all the time . There are too many staff to compliment but I all the departments are so kind and gave us a great experience. We will be returning next year and may become our annual holiday retreat. Thank you for all your kind help and being wonderful hosts.

Went for a day package at Tamassa with my bestie for a break from our busy schedule..Many instagrammable spots for photoshoot.The variety of food was excellent,wish there were more seafood options from the lunch buffet.The ice cream flavours &burgers from the truck were also tasty.Cocktails and tea time were the amazing.Special mentions to Chef Edinho,Chef Sandiren and their dedicated team.The kids pool time with foam party and entertainment made my day.The changing room were too busy,need to be equipped and amenties to improve.Overall,was good,will surely come back with my family. The hotel has a well-maintained, expansive property with 3 pools and a white, clean beach. There are always 6-8 double rooms in each house. The rooms are spacious and comfortable for 2 people, but a bit small for three (we were traveling with our adult daughter). It's great that each room has 2 sinks, a shower, a bathtub, and an extra toilet with a window. At the beginning, there were some minor issues that needed to be fixed in the room (especially the bathroom, which could use some renovation), but the very accommodating staff took care of everything as quickly as possible. The beds are extremely comfortable, and we slept very well. For breakfast, there was a buffet with everything your heart desires. They also paid close attention to allergies and intolerances. A special mention goes to Edinho from the kitchen. He took care of culinary special requests not only from us but also from other guests, with great friendliness and care. Anjou, who prepared omelettes every morning, also created a pleasant atmosphere with her warm personality during breakfast. Dinner can be enjoyed at the buffet (international with changing themes) or à la carte in the restaurant. There's always something for everyone. Overall, the staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive, whether in the bars, restaurant, room service, reception, or at the boathouse. Thank you very much for that! The day at the beach with the wonderful white sand, turquoise sea, snorkeling at the diverse house reef, and the many water sports activities (SUP, pedal boat, paddle boat, glass-bottom boat) flies by. We did have a wonderful time enjoying unlimited drinks at B Bar, good food at the Show restaurant and tasty burgers from the food truck. Chef sandiren was extremely polite, passionate, professional and dedicated. He was extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. His colleagues including Chef edinho, chef kunal, Altaaf and sherna from the restaurant were all fantastic along with Anju from breakfast. There was a tasty, wide array of choices to suit all palettes. Yovanna and devianee served up some delicious burgers from truck with a variety of different fillings available. Nishad and Leena were thoroughly professional and extremely attentive - couldn’t fault their attitude towards their guests. Devina serviced our rooms and she left them positively spotless and gleaming. Such a brilliant team. Sincere thanks for being so hospitable!

We book a day package at tamassa resort as we wanted to have a lovely day pass . As a couple we reached our wedding anniversary,so we really wanted to spend some time together .. Once we reached we were amazed by the service like 10/10. We enjoyed the buffet especially the truck burger 🍔 was Delice. We had ice cream which was special prepared. Since I’m a tea lover I enjoyed my tea time with some cakes buffet again I really enjoyed . I Appreciate tamassa offer a variety choice at the buffet .. guys We met the chef edinho and team personally on the spot ; thankfull for such delights we made our day special and welcoming we had great time chit chat 💬 Then we went on a swim was really difficult to choose from the 3pool they have haha 💕. Property is easily accessible and family resort. The stay was comfortable. Hospitality is something worth mentioning… they greet you with smiling faces and always on their toes to make your stay perfect. Special thanks to manager KEVIN for room upgradation even with a printing mistake in our voucher… we were allowed early check in at 10.00am within minutes of our arrival and 2.30 we were shifted to upgraded room hasslefree. Reception staff KREETIKA was also helpful in our entire stay

This hotel is on a whole other level. The infrastructure, facilities and set of activities provided were impeccable. Its main asset is the excellent service provided by its friendly personnel. We will forever be grateful to chef Jean Edinho, Mr Altaaf and Komal from the restaurant who made our stay memorable. The room service was excellent. We opted for the all-inclusive package and the bar personnel was always efficient and friendly in delivering the orders. This is by far the best hotel experience which we have had. We will be back.

We spent one night at tamassa hotel and loved every single minute of it .The staff there went to great lengths to ensure that we had the best holiday we ever had. That we can do is to write and express our appreciation and experience here. 1. Arriving at the hotel we were warmly greeted by the staff on the reception there, we can see on their smile ,they are so nice very caring and very friendly. 2. Our room was clean and neat. We had everything we needed. We were provided with a beachfront accommodation and we really appreciated it as we had a nice view of the sea in front of us right from our balcony. 3.The hotel itself is very clean and the gardeners there keep the external environment clean. They pay particular attention to ensure the hotel looked beautiful. 4. The food is unbelievable there. Food is one of the main reasons why we, Mauritians, book inland hotels. Upon arrival we had afternoon tea which was nice ,lots of cakes and snacks and we were warmly welcome by Chef Jean Edinho, who made our holiday more wonderful and pleasant as he is a lovely guy and his warm approach made us feel very comfortable and we appreciated his welcome a lot. During dinner we were amazed with the available varieties of food and all the foods were really delicious. Thanks again to Chef Jean Edinho and the whole team who are doing a very great job. All the waiters are very friendly and welcoming and they are always ready upon calling them for their service which is very prompt and superb, we would like to thank Altaaf and Komal at the buffet restaurant for their warm approach and excellent service. 5. Breakfast was amazing. Plenty of choice.Freshly made pastries made by Chef Jean Edinho, our favourite was the almond croissant one of the best we have ever had and freshly made pancake and omelette. We had lunch on the main restaurant and food is wow. There is a burger truck which make the best burgers in mauritius, special thanks to the burger truck ladies.. 6. The hotel provides provides several free facilities which we used. We were very pleased with the Santosha personnel and the free sauna and hammam. However a bit disappointed that the Jacuzzi was payable at an additional cost. The pools looked lovely and very clean.so my review comes to and end, we couldn't keep our happiness and our appreciation that's why we seize this opportunity to write this review to express our gratitude and feelings we had to this lovely hotel. We would like to thank all the staffs who contributed to make our stay memorable especially Chef Edinho , Altaaf and Komal. Shabneez.

Tamassa is an outstanding hotel and the kindness of all the staff members, I encountered there, deserve to be highlighted. Arrival at the reception we were greeted warmly and the staff were so helpful in looking into our specific food requirement to thereafter have us meet chef Jean Marc and also baker chef Jean Edinho The hotel and grounds are beautiful and maintained well. The bar area was chilled and comfortable seating with a good variety of local drinks The restaurant ambiance was delightful, attention to detail iand the attentive service from the staff made us feel valued! Chef Jean Marc and chef Edinho have been accommodating in organising a great and impressive menu for our lunch and the constant care throughout our day with them was exceptional and they went to the extra mile to keep us happy and well fed 😊 Every dish was a work of art,beautifully presented and bursting with flavors.The creativity and thoughtfulness that went into each course were truly exceptional ; culinary skills and expertise were evident in every bite we took. Afternoon snacks were as per our requirements and we have been served great pancakes with Nutella and the best fritters on the island and once again the chefs did not forget us out of so many guests in the hotel We really enjoyed it and appreciate.We would like to thanks all the staff for the excellent service,once again thanks to chef Jean Edinho and chef Jean Marc who took good care ok us, the beginning till the end..overall tamassa deserve a 5 stars hotel. We absolutely loved the water sports, beautifully clear water, the sunsets and the incredibly helpful Tamassa team. A special thank you to Chef Sandiren, Chef Jean-Marc and ESPECIALLY Chef Edinho who went above and beyond AT EVERY MEAL, to make sure that, as vegans, we had delicious and varied meals (including an excellent anniversary dinner and amazing vegan cake)! We are incredibly grateful. Thank you also to Oumila from reception who was patient and helpful with all of our many questions. Our time at Tamassa was amazing! Ps. We did pack swimming shoes (because of a recommendation we saw on Booking.com) and found this made our snorkelling and swimming even more enjoyable (as we didn't need to worry about stepping on any shells or coral).

I travel extensively Internationally for work but Tamassa is my safe/happy place, where I seek solace when the world gets a little too crazy. This was my 4th visit & I travelled alone. I arrived somewhat stressed & in much need of some downtime, but from the moment I walked into reception it was like coming home again. Everyone was so kind & welcoming. Tamassa is a very sustainable resort – plug in to the solar energy from the sun & the love & care that beats at the very heart of the hotel & it will resonate in you long after you leave…… There are some very detailed reviews in TripAdvisor about the rooms, food etc. so I am not going to repeat that, nor am I going to name any staff as that wouldn’t be fair to those that I miss off. A pretty hotel with enthusiastic staff and very good and delicious food. The hotel team namely Ganesen, Rajiv, Nirma, Devianee, Sanjana, Pravesh & Sandiren were fabulous. They were very friendly, patient and helpful. We must say that it was a truly delightful experience. Even the kids were impressed with the awesome hospitality and meals.

We had amazing stay and felt hospitality from the staff from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. There was a lot of activities included within the resort. Make sure to ask for them. And note that some need booking a day or two in advance. Snorkeling at the resort is a must do! The best experience in the whole stay in Mauritius! The kitchen had amazing food with a big variety of indo western dishes. me and my wife both have allergies, but was taken really good care of, and got special treatment from the kitchen staff. Thank you to every member of staff at the Tamassa for making our week so memorable. Every person we encountered at the hotel was brilliant and couldn't have made us feel more welcome, or our 2 year old more of a princess!! The staff at Tam Tam are brilliant, and whilst our daughter was too young to stay at the kids club, she loved it so much we were there several times a day with her, and the staff always made a fuss of her. Such a brilliant hotel and our favourite of the three we stayed in whilst in Mauritius. Truely paradise with the most incredible array of fish on your doorstop - make sure to take goggles and water shoes and that's all you'll need! An amazing time at the gorgeous Tamassa

My wife and I and our three year old son recently had an amazing time at Tamassa resort. The place is beautiful and so peaceful, you always feel that there was plenty of space and serenity. From the beach you can see the waves crash against the coral reef in the distance but in the ‘lagoon’ the water is calm and warm, and as soon as you start to snorkel you can see angel fish, zebra fish etc. The food is gorgeous, with plenty of choice, even for a vegetarian like me. Of particular note is the Indian night on a Monday. A large choice of delicious curries are available with some live Indian music played. But the choice of tasty food presented at breakfast, lunch and dinner was always exemplary. Well done to chefs Edinho and Sandiren and their team. The burger van is popular too, serving beef, chicken, fish and veggie burgers. The resort has a kids club, the Tam Tam club, and our three year old boy absolutely loved it there. In fact he loved it a bit too much! We had to keep persuading him to spend some time with his boring old parents. The girls there made such a fuss of him and were brilliant with him. Apart from arts and crafts type things they did like making picture frames or friendship bracelets, they would also go on little excursions. So they would take the children out on the resort’s glass bottom boat, or onto the beach to look for crabs or to fish with little nets. The watersports facilities are very good but personally we didn’t do anything too strenuous. As a family we went on the aforementioned glass bottomed boat once, and we took a kayak out a couple of times. But you can basically just go up to the boathouse, ask if there’s any kayaks/pedalos available at the moment and take one out. Of the events they host throughout the week I’d say my favourites were the beach party on a Tuesday at sunset, where snacks and cocktails are served, and it’s a chance for guests and staff to mingle. And the other event was the foam party! I’m not exactly an Ibiza superclub type so was surprised how much fun I had. It’s about 45 minutes a week of loud music, dancing and splashing. I suppose if you’d just arrived at the resort from a long haul flight and that was the first thing you witnessed, you might be thinking where on earth you’d booked LOL. The resorts ace card is its staff. They really make an effort to get to know you and make your holiday as great as possible. One of the chefs would take our son around the buffet to choose his food for example. Another illustration of this is that a couple of afternoons we ordered a hot chocolate with marshmallows at the bar for our little boy. Before too long, the staff in the restaurant at breakfast started bringing a hot chocolate and marshmallows with our tea and coffee each morning without us even saying anything. Word obviously gets around! All in all both my wife and I agree that our time at Tamassa is one of the best holidays we’ve ever had, and I couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

We checked in on 26th June for 2 nights. Room 1097 😉 The food, the ambience, the service - everything was perfect. Two activities that amazed us a lot: 1. The walk to Chateau Bel Ombre. Anasthasia, our guide, was so full of energy, very friendly, making the walk very enjoyable. The scenery & surroundings on the way is breathtaking!! Very calm & peaceful 2. Sunset cocktail & apero on Tuesday evening. First time witnessing such an event, and it was just fabulous. The cocktails, music, vibes & of course the beautiful sunset was just wow. We also participated in the sorrows burning riual organised by the spa at the same time on the beach. Now I have to talk about my favorite part in hotels - the food which was just amazing. There was a huge variety of food for breakfast, lunch & diner. On Monday, there was the Indian buffet, and an International Buffet on Tuesday, both very good, with large variety of food to choose from. We had lunch at La Playa restaurant where you choose either the buffet or the A La Carte menu. The desserts from the former were so well presented and tasted very good as well. I read a lot of good reviews about the burger truck, and was eager to try it. I had the chicken and beef burger. The beef burger was heavenly delicious 😍 Special thanks to chef Edinho who was so helpful 🙏 One of us was vegetarian, and he ensured that we manage to find something as per our taste by having veg pastries and veg food prepared specially for us, and kept on checking to enquire whether we had any problem etc In short, we spend 2 amazing nights at Tamassa Hotel, and enjoyed a lot. Really worth it!!! 👌

Great place to relax & enjoy a dream holiday. The swimming pool, rooms, food and spa etc. are great. Each and every staff member worked as a team to provide us with good service. I met Hemalatha, Leena, Komal, Aurelia, Medha, Jaya, Lisa, Jigitha, Nimish, Chef Edinho and Chef Sandiren. They welcomed us with great smiles and looked after us very well. I would recommend this place to everyone.

My family celebrated my Dad's 80th birthday on 24 June 2023 at Tamassa Resort,Bel Ombre, Mauritius.We booked for a Day Pass. In the past,we got excellent reviews on Tamassa Resort and my family wished to book a stay there.Due to commitments we could not book a stay earlier. As my Dad's 80th birthday was coming,we decided to celebrate it at Tamassa Resort. We had a great day there, starting from the welcome by the Reception staff.Each and every staff member at the hotel made us very comfortable. At the restaurant we had a large variety of meals.There the Chef,Mr Edinho n his Team which comprised Mr Altaaf and others really made the event special. The special birthday cake was really delicious.My parents and kids enjoyed the food.The service was great. Soon after lunch,we went to the Burger Truck where we were offered a burger each.The burger was very well prepared by the wonderful ladies there.They were very friendly and cheerful. After lunch,we sat near the bar and we enjoyed the view of the hotel.We did not know that there would be a Foam Party in the swimming pool.This cheered my 5-yr old daughter who stayed by the swimming pool till the Foam Party ended. There were staff who danced and who also made us all dance.It was real fun.The pool was full of tourists and kids who were having a great time.This made the day even special. The snacks during tea time were very nice.Soon after we left with the idea that for our next holidays we'll definitely book a stay at Tamassa Resort Bel Ombre.

I have just came back from Tamassa Hotel. It was the most amazing experience I've ever had. From day one of our arrival we were welcomed and nothing was no trouble and the staff went above and beyond especially the two chefs Edinho and Sandiren, were very accommodating towards my dietary needs and made me my meals and lactose free ice cream which was amazing. The chefs made me gluten free puddings so I didn't feel left out with all the nice food. I would recommend to anyone to stay at the Tamassa Hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. You will not be disappointed whatsoever. Sabrina, Parveti, Komal, jigisha made our stay very enjoyable 😉 We looked forward seeing them every day having a laugh. Made us feel comfortable. The boss is wonderful person and very approachable as he comes to both restaurants and around the hotel to say hello and greets you. I couldn't fault anything the room was clean every day.. Tam our cleaner for the room she was amazing. We will be back next year as we fully enjoyed our stay with you all and would like to carry on each year to visit you. Its amazing place to stay. Our first trip to Mauritius and fom the moment we arrived we realised what an amazing resort Tamassa is. We travelled with Tui using the direct flight from LHR. Transfer from the airport was by taxi and arrived at lunchtime to be given a refreshing drink and a cold towel. Our room was ready straight away and we were quickly checked in and allowed to enjoy the relaxed feel of the resort. We chose the all inclusive option when we booked. Food was excellent especially if you enjoy curries and trying new things. For us dinner was mainly eaten in the Show restaurant as the buffet choice was amazing. Breakfast is taken at the same restaurant and is equally delicious. The burger truck for lunch was a nice touch with several tasty options to try. Ice cream is also available next to the truck if needed! We ate at the Playa restaurant one evening to sample the variety on offer and had a lovely meal but all inclusive choices were more limited without supplements. The resort has three unheated pools. Two are deep enough to swim and the third less so. A kids pool is available next to the main bar. The B Bar is a nice place to relax at any time of day. Good choice of AI drinks including cocktails. Beer and soft drinks in the mini bar in your room are replaced every day. The beer is actually very good. In the evening a live band usually plays. They were excellent and sometimes followed by a dance show or DJ. We never struggled to get seats and staff always keep your glasses topped up! In the afternoon a selection of cakes and tea/coffee is available to stop any hunger pangs! AI customers sign for everything but the charges are cancelled. Generally you can opt to take lunch and dinner in one of the venues on offer using the AI option and the system takes note of what you opt for. It takes a while to get used to signing but never becomes an issue. You can see your ongoing bill on the smart TV in the room. Good choice of sport and movie channels in the room but mot much else if English speaking. The beach is big and never crowded. Wear something on your feet in the water as on momentarily lack of attention taking fins off led to several days of uncomfortable walking due to a cut while coming of the water after snorkeling. The water is shallow for snorkeling and lots of fish to see. The main reef is too far out and the ocean too wild to consider swimming out that far but a free glass bottom boat trip let's you see some of the reef further out in the lagoon. Free snorkeling trips can be booked too but both need good water conditions to run. No problems walking up the beach in either direction. Safe and easy. Beautiful sunsets from the beach most nights. Managed to visit the local shell museum, interesting remains of a sugar mill as well. Good way to spend a couple of hours doing something different. Also did a southern island trip booked before we went. Nice easy way to see the sights of that corner of the island and worth doing. Overall a brilliant resort, lovely staff, tasty food and drink, safe and relaxing vibes. Weekends a little busier due to day guests and short stay visitors but never seemed over crowded despite being relatively compact as a resort. Highly recommended!!

Paradise in Mauritius

Paradise in Mauritius. My very first time at an all inclusive resort and Tamassa did it in style! The resort facilities, the staff and activities were fantastic. I must especially thank the amazing chefs: Marc Jean, Edinho and Suraj. Being a solo traveler they took extra care and attention, even made me a special seafood dish. The freshly prepared breads and pastries were wonderful. As were the many choices of tasty dishes, some sections had freshly cooked food while you waited. Spoilt from the many choices! The Santosha Spa, was great, so relaxing. I had a wonderful back massage, attended all the breathing classes and the sunset Yoga. Met some lovely people there too. Another special thanks to Sylvester and his team at the Boat House for being so compassionate when I was booking the free glass bottom boat tour. It was fully booked on the day I wanted to go, but was kindly put on after a no show. They helped me to complete a special personal wish and I am so grateful. The beaches and water was lovely, but don’t forget the beach shoes as there is coral on the sand. I left on a merry and happy note after being entertained and dancing the night away on Saturday evenings show and DJ party. I should mention negatives too: The tv remote stuck a few times! But I was busy enjoying the facilities via my App instead. No need to watch the TV. A couple of the floor tiles were scuffed and gave the wrong impression of the room, it had everything I needed and was big and clean. Thank you Tamassa for my trip to Paradise. A wonderful memory that will stay with me a lifetime!

An excellent all rounder Resort

Still an all-rounder excellent resort! Has a well-equipped spa, a la carte as well as buffet restaurants, gym, games room, 3 swimming pools, boat house, nice beachfront rooms (when available), functional kids club. Top it up with smiles and good service from seasoned and experience personel. Have seen many new recruits/interns this time around but I guess they will quickly learn the tamassa way of doings things.

Beautiful beach hotel in Bel Ombre. Tamassa, is a 4-star beach hotel with outstanding staff, facilities, food and lovely private white sand beach. The Chefs Edinho and Sandiren catered for our vegetarian diet with delicious dishes and the most wonderful truck burger. The travel service around the island and to Fort Louis offered us the opportunity to explore and experience this paradise. The swimming, sauna and massage experience was great. We enjoyed a 10 day stay at Tamassa Bel Ombre (parents & 2 teenagers). When we arrived, exhausted after a long flight, we were offered cold refreshing towels and beverages during check-in, which felt really nice. The resort area is safe, very beatiful and well maintained. You can walk along the beach to the nearby village & other hotels. We did snorkelling a lot and there is so much to see just in front of the hotel! We had an all inclusive package, and we enjoyed the food a lot. We were not bored as there was something new every day in the buffet, and we also tried the a la carte restaurant & hamburger "van". It was very convenient to order drinks to the beach and stay hydrated. Fresh fruit (passion, papaya, pineapple, melon) at the breakfast buffet were amazing! There is a possibility to use gym and participate to group exercise classes & hydrobic. The hotel staff helped us to organise a guided trip to Le Morne mountain & some other sights. What made our stay also so special, is the hospitality, friendliness and courtesy of the staff.

This was our first ever visit to Mauritius and it was made special by the stay at this fabulous hotel. From check in we upgraded to all inclusive which was certainly worth it. Most nights we ate at the Playa Blanca beach bar using the a la carte menu. The food was delicious but what also made it, was also the staff in particular Avi who always had a smile when serving our food and Ali behind the bar. Rooms are very comfortable and spacious. The hotel never ever appeared overcrowded and sun beds are plentiful. The grounds are kept immaculate and again special mention goes to Mr Ram and his housekeeping team. Loved the location right on the beach where the big waves from the Indian Ocean were kept at bay from a shallow reef that glowed turquoise. Every now and then we’d be served drinks whilst lazing around, where I’d recommend trying a rum coco(delicious). Overall our time flew by and that speaks volumes about how much all four of us enjoyed this beautiful and fantastic hotel. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back and thank you to each and everyone of the staff that made our stay so memorable.

The whole area is very well maintained. Rooms and everything else are very clean. In the bathroom there are separate sinks, a large shower and a bathtube. The beds offer good sleeping comfort. A large flatscreen is ideal for a rainy day. The extensive gardens with many palm trees are constantly maintained. There is a relaxed and calm atmosphere. The spa area is definitely recommended. In the buffet restaurant there is always a rich offer - also creole cuisine. The service staff is very attentive. Especially Darwish and Kumar are extremely friendly and courteous. The a la carte restaurant is also highly recommended. The sport and entertainment offer is diverse but completely discreet. All in all we would like to commend all members of the staff. They are very nice and friendly people. Last but not least: Mr. Ram. A big and strong man, very very competent and friendly. He is constantly checking that everything is alright. Nothing escapes him. He knows everything. We felt that we were in very good hands with him. Conclusion: We had a dreamlike and relaxed holiday in a wonderfull hotel with exceptionally friendly staff! And this hotel in the south of Mauritius is ideal starting point for nature and sights.

Amazing Stay

It was my first visit in Mauritius and we spend 3 nights at the hotel which was amazing, special thanks to chef Karan and his team and Avi at La Playa Restaurant for their hospitality and kindness. I would highly recommend La Playa Restaurant as the food was amazing.

The welcoming at the reception very good. The room very clean and well decorated. The food and drinks superb...enjoy the 2 nights stay from 07-09 July 2023. All the staffs are excellent and jovial. Thanks to my friend Nishad &teams & others we were taken good care . See you next year

Fantastic Experience

Warm Welcoming from the staffs. The staffs were always at the disposal for any issue, suggestion about the hotel and any thing needed. The Food was excellent at any of its restaurant. However the Burger Truck was the highlight of it all. Overall it was a fatanstic experience there especially the service provide.

Tamassa Hotel is a wonderful choice for a tropical vacation in Mauritius. Its stunning location, friendly staff, comfortable accommodations, and a variety of activities make it a great option for both relaxation and entertainment. Although there were a few minor areas that could be improved, the overall experience at Tamassa Hotel was enjoyable and memorable. I left with fond memories and would consider returning for another stay in the future.

The hotel site and beach are the only savour to this property.

The hotel property and placement to the beach is its saving grace. The service is poor, I had a large piece of plastic in my omlette. The rooms weren’t cleaned properly and the “cleaned” coffee cups in the room were dirty. Couldn’t get a restaurant booking. The water sports were always unavailable and only work til 2pm. 3 days and couldn’t do a single water sport as the next day it was too windy apparently. They got our name wrong in our hotel from the checking to the room. The food and drink are so expensive that you’re “enticed” to take the all inclusive but then not all drinks and not all meals are included in the all inclusive. Massive disappointment and Wont be staying there again.

Wonderful and Memorable Stay

We had a memorable stay and spent a great time at the resort. All the staff were very friendly and made everything possible to make our stay very comfortable. The room was very cleaned and on arrival day, it was nicely decorated. In both the main restaurant and Playa Restaurant, the food were very tasty. We also had a nice and relaxing time at the spa. The outdoor games were also very entertaining. Thank you everyone at tamassa.

It was our first visit at tamassa resort and to be Frank we had a great day n we enjoyed very much.In fact the staff there were very friendly and helpful specially chef edinho who gave us special treatment as a Mauritian client .we were very pleased .thanks dear .no difference were made between us and foreign tourist.thanks again dear .May be will soon visit the resort again.

Great hotel, great facilities, great food wonderful staff, brilliant for kids. We were well looked after in all the restaurants and bars by ALL the staff. TamTam club for the children was amazing and high praise to ALL of the staff involved there with mentions for Joanna and Emilie, kids loved foam party and pirate day. i can't remember the name of the TamTam lady who caught all the crabs , but loved the technique! Mention for Ash in the fitness and the ladies in the spa. Shout out to all the room cleaners too. Overall a great family holiday at a great family resort.

2nd time to Tamassa Resort and it was just fabulous. We received a warm welcoming from the reception. The resort itself is very beautiful & well maintained. We had lunch at Playa Restaurant. The food was amazing with lots of variety. A big thanks to Mr Ganessen, the F&B Manager. He is brillant and made us feel very special. Service was great. It was very quick service and we had such a nice & special time.

Last week was our third visit to the hotel. As usual, heart warming welcome from the reception team. I think they need a big applause for their professionalism, hospitality and humility. Delicious and variety of foods, especially at Playa, food was very tasty. Rooms and the property was very clean and we spent quality times with the recreational activities (Petangue). I would recommend this hotel to everyone. This is the real place for Tam Tam and for sure i will keep on visiting the hotel more and more times....

Awesome relaxing journey, a big thanks to the team for making our journey a success through each moment matters. The food at playa was just beyond our expectations. We had the most amazing day at tamassa Resort. The resort has a great location and the staff went out of their way to make our day memorable. Everyone was nice, warm, friendly, courteous, and professional. From the front desk staff to restaurant staff and the chef. A big shout to chef edinho and chef jean Marc for making us feel at home we really enjoyed and will definitely visit again. I highly recommend the hotel if you are looking.

One of the best Hotels on the island. Amazing location where the staffs are very humble and friendly. They made it wonderful. Furthermore, the food was exceptional as they used fresh products and ingredients in all their dishes. Deserts also was amazing & Special thanks goes to chef edinho and chef jean Marc these guys are just superb 👌 they have magical hands and took care of us . Hotel staff were both very friendly and professional who did there job very well. The ambience and food was awesome. The property and services were beyond words. My stay was all in all top-notch, looking forward to it again very soon! The serene surroundings create a peaceful ambiance, making it an ideal destination for relaxation and rejuvenation. Speaking of the restaurant, the quality of food served is exceptional, The presentation of the dishes is visually appealing, and the flavors are simply divine. Food is definitely one of the highlights of the property.. I am sure chef Edinho has magic in his hands. With those scrumptious deserts and pastries. Special thanks to Aurélie from show restaurant who took care of us and was always there to help us out with his wonderful service! In total it was an excellent experience. I would love to visit again. I would highly recommend this property for anyone to stay.

Guest relations and staff at this hotel are by far the best I've experienced. A special thank you to Leena for taking care of my family on their special anniversary. I visited 11 years ago and Tamassa blew my mind for so many reasons. I have travelled to so many countries since and Tamassa takes number 1 spot for how amazing and hospitable the staff are. It is why I always recommend this hotel to clients who go to Mauritius and why this would be the hotel I stay in whenever I return. Ingrid was one person who stood out during my honeymoon there and I reached out to her for help with my family's stay taking place right now. She got in touch with Leena, despite not working there currently. (I absolutely had to connect with her because she was that brilliant!) The family are loving their rooms, the hotel facilities and of course that outstanding beach! I would also like to thank Jigisha for her swift, friendly and hospitable check in/welcome. They are looking forward to their romantic dinner and feel like VIP's. You know how to leave an imprint on guests! No doubt, anyone who stays here will experience the same love, affection and care.

The best experience ever at Tamassa resort. Had been there 3 years ago for a special occasion and went back again as we were very impressed. I must stay they didn’t disappoint us, especially Suzella at Santosha Spa who had so warmly welcome me last time and who is doing so much for orphan children - there’s a little bell that one can buy and the proceeds go to an orphanage and I thought that was very thoughtful of the hotel- regarding the food, there was enough choice for vegetarians like us and chef Edino & chef Sandiren made sure we had eggless pancakes at teatime. The photographer Roupa is just amazing and all in all it was a memorable experience!

This trip to Mauritius was to celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary and it was nothing short of amazing ! We had checked in around 10pm and staff was kind enough to organize room service for us knowing how tired we were. What a perfect start to our holiday. The next day we met Chef Edinho at the pool bar who introduced himself and asked us about our stay and if there was anything he could do to ensure our stay was a memorable one. We jokingly asked for samoosas, and in the next 5 minutes or so we had received freshly fried samoosas ! What ever our request was, it was never too big or too small for him. We had mentioned to him that we do not eat beef and pork, and he said it was not a problem. From fish curry , crab curry, chicken breyani, dhall puri, he prepared what ever we asked for. A great soul with a great sense of humour too ! And a special shout out to chef Sandiren as well as Altaaf who had also taken care of us. I really admired that staff would check in with us and were always ready to assist where possible. A memorable stay with memorable moments with the Tamassa team, and Doodoo (Natha) Room 1088

I visited tamassa several times and as always i had a wonderful time. Still one of the best hotel in the island. All the staffs are very welcoming, friendly, helpful and always smiling.😃 The food was delicious.. great variety of dishes and desert. Beautiful mauritius, great holiday

We visited tamassa Bel Ombre in May 2023. This really is a lovely hotel. The greeting on arrival was friendly with a drink and a cooling towel. We were able to change in a nearby courtsey room into something cooler as we couldn't get into our room until 3pm and we arrived at 10.30 in the morning. Our room was on the front very near to the beach with a great view. The room was clean, although a little dated. Positioning of power points and mirrors could be better placed as you couldn't access a power point with your own hairdryer anywhere near a mirror so this was a bit of a faff. The grounds are lovely, very green and very well kept. I don't think I have been anywhere where the staff have been so friendly, polite and helpful. They couldn't do enough and are extremely hard working. The food is my only criticism in that choice is very limited and consists most evenings of curry or similar dishes. I expected there to be a greater selection of fresh fish and barbecued chicken, fresh fruit and salad. The food at the a la cart restaurant however was fantastic. You could eat at this restaurant as much as you liked as long as you booked . The menu was the same every lunchtime and different on the evening but again the same menu every evening. If you ate in this restaurant every day and night I think you would run out of choice There were meals available for which you had to pay a supplement, this also applied to some of the cocktails, bottles of prosecco and wine. One thing I have never come across before in an all inclusive hotel was our all inclusive entitlement ended at 6pm on our day of departure. This I feel is very petty! Also having to sign for every meal , drink, coffee, ice cream or burgers from the burger van got on our nerves massively. By the way the burger van is also very good within the hotel. All in all we had a lovely holiday which was very relaxing. I probably wouldn't go back due to lack of variety of food. However speaking to other guests they were very happy with the food but it wasnt for me.

Went to Tamassa hotel as honeymooners and I fell in love with all the things that were offered. This has been the best place to relax, enjoy and eat. Furthermore, was surrounded by awesome staffs namely, Ganessen, Ramma, Sabrina, Sanjana, Medha and Avinesh. I highly recommend this institution and will surely go back on my holidays. See you soon🍀

Travellers and party people lemme tell you that Tamassa Resort is the place to be. We did a day package there, we have enjoyed every bits of it. From the bar to the restaurant all are worth it. Without forgetting the great service that the staff have provided, sorry we don't remember their names but they were all exceptional and friendly! Although it was raining on that day, the traditional sea sun and sand wasn't met, but still good food, fascinating, frothy cocktail and great service was provided. When we travel and seek amusements for amazing and valuable products and services, there you get it all! Thank you so much, looking forward to visit again! Day package on 23/07/2023
