Stunning island paradise - but avoid certain rooms!

The island is stunningly beautiful and the staff was unfailingly warm, helpful and attentive, so I really wish I could rate it 5/5. However, our allocated island villa (318) was immediately adjacent the island’s ‘engine room’ and the constant rumble of the diesel generator extended to the beach, the room and ‘tranquil’ pool area (which also smelt of curry or omelet from the kitchens). We were moved without question to 326 further down the beach, and that was fantastic, but there had obviously been other complaints about 318 and I would question why we were allocated it at all when we were celebrating a milestone anniversary, and this is the reason for the missing 5th star. I would suggest the resort needs to offer a reduced price for the villas closest to the engine room, or consider soundproofing or relocating the engine room to limit its impact. The rest of my review is 5/5 based on our 2 nights in island villa 326 and 2 nights in water villa 405: The island villas are huge and spotlessly clean, with traditional dark wood decor. The pool area was peaceful and totally private, and strolling through the undergrowth to the beach was really special. The beach is beautiful and, being on the sheltered side of the island, very hot. Mosquitos are an issue on the island, (it is a little tropical jungle paradise after all!), which meant the outside areas were somewhat off limits from late afternoon or after it rained. Regular fogging was carried out but I worry about the effect of this on the animals higher up the food chain. I would recommend taking good insect repellent and bite ointment! The water villa was stunning and our favourite room. Not as private or peaceful as the island villa but, being detached, you’re not completely on top of your neighbours. The outdoor shower, sun deck and private pool were the best features, and the view of the ocean from the (huge) bed is unmissable! Mosquitoes were also less of an issue in the water villa. Snorkelling off the beach and from the steps of our water villa was amazing! We say sharks, rays, turtles and thousands of fish within 10m of the beach/water villa. We stayed all inclusive and this was adequate for our needs; the buffet in Air was comprehensive and tasty but could get monotonous so the opportunity to sample a reduced version of the a la carte menus in Aqua (x2) and Star was appreciated. The food in Aqua was best but the setting of Star is amazing (if very windy when we were there). The AI drinks menu in Latitude was sufficient for us but may not suit if you like a particular brand of spirit or a certain cocktail. It included Gordon’s gin, Bacardi and Captain Morgan’s rum and Carlsberg lager etc., along with cocktails like mojitos and margaritas etc. There was no alcohol included in the mini bar which was a shame, but we sometimes took drinks to our room from the bar. The allocation of 1L of water per person each day was more than sufficient for us in addition to the mini bar soft drinks and access to drinks in the bar and restaurants. Overall we felt AI was good value for us. We didn’t use the gym but the spa was wonderful for massages and yoga. The weather was unpredictable, with one full day of rain and occasional heavy showers throughout the rest of the week, but this offered a respite from the heat which never dropped below 28 degrees, even at night, I would absolutely recommend Coco Bodu Hithi for the staff, the scenery and the snorkelling, but avoid island villas 316-321 if you can and take insect repellent!

An amazing experience staying at the beach and escape water villas. It has everything to offer as described, pool, bath tub, beautiful views and thriving reef, clean rooms, comfy beds, high quality and classy. Breakfast and dinners were great with a wide variety of cuisines, the cocktails at Lattitude bar are delicious, all the restaurants on the islands were fantastic and the water sports were a great experience too. We did snorkeling and dolphin cruise and were lucky to see lot of sea life. Most importantly, our host Hammadh was super helpful and gracious. Having one point of contact through out our stay was a great idea, it made coordination and getting our queries addressed easy. Hammadh is patient, courteous and very prompt. We would highly recommend Covo Bodu Hithi.

One of the best experiences I’ve had in my life. Misbah was a great host. The escape villa we stayed in was surreal. One of the highlights of the trip is the dinner at Aqua restaurant. The manager Sinoop was out of the way sweet. His associates Faisal and Soniya were simply the best. They made us feel so special by asking if we needed anything every few minutes. Amazing experience!!!

I am thankfull to top management for arranging cocktail party for guests on Friday General Manager is really very polite and kind. He is a true Gentleman. Both Beach Villa and sea villa are amazing. Coco boduhithi was the best choice ever! It was cloudy at first, but it got better. Every people was so kind and nice. Especiallhy our butler Reema was so special! From the start till end, our stay at Coco Bodu Hithi Resort were simply wonderful and splendid. I and my wife were so delighted by the service provided by out Host, Ms. Reema. She was really amazing and makes our stay so comfortable and memorable one. The resort was a 40minute speedboat ride from Male Airport. When we arrived, we proceed to the booth B1 and later brought along with other guests to the pier to board the speedboat. The first thing, we realized the water was so clear and beautiful. The boat ride was quite fast and once we reached the resort jetty, we were greeted by the resort staff and shortly our lovely Host, Ms. Reema received us. She was checking with us on our trip and share about the resort. After a brief check-in process at the reception, we were ushered to our residence by buggy. The journey was simply breath-taking with nature and greenery plants. Shortly, we arrived at walkway bridge leading to the Coco Residence. It was a beautiful scenery surrounded by the ocean and Ms. Reema showed us around the residence. She went thru with us on the resort admin and F&B details. As I went for the All-Inclusive Package (AIP), we were entitled for set dinner at Star and Aqua restaurant. Ms. Reema was helpful in booking a reservation with the both restaurants. She was so experienced and patience in explaining all the details and answering our queries. Throughout our stay, our room was timely cleaned and prepared by Mr. Suheen. He was so helpful in topping-up our mineral waters and the most heart-touching moment, when he and his team decorated our room on our wedding anniversary day. It was simply amazing and we are thankful for Ms. Reema who arranged for this surprise together with a bottle of champagne, cake & flower bouquet (delivered to us while having dinner at Star Restaurant). We were so touched.😍 The food served at Star Restaurant was so delicious especially our main course - beef fillet and Clam risotto. We enjoyed our meal and the rose wine served was simply appetizing. Following day, we went for snorkeling activity at the lagoon. We were briefed by the watersport team mainly by Mr Ayyash. He was young, energetic and professional. He was so patience in guiding me throughout the snorkeling activity especially I am "aquaphobia". Surprisingly, our Host Ms. Reema join-in the snorkeling and took some awesome photos and videos. We really enjoyed it. Then, we had our afternoon snack at Latitude Bar which serve good pizza and nice Martini cocktail. In the evening, we had our dinner at the Aqua Restaurant which serve good seafood. The dish was very delicious and authentic. My wife enjoyed the king prawn and myself the Red Snapper. The chef did a wonderful job. The desert Creme Brulee and Yogurt Souffle, were simply yummy. We were served by Mr. Sinoop, who was really attentive on our order taking and amazed with his food and drink recommendation. We were so happy with dinner and the location viewing the open ocean was no word to mention. The 4 days 3 nights stay came to end so fast, after an early breakfast at Air restaurant we were ushered to our speedboat. There were many fond memories about Coco Bodu Hithi especially for the wonderful hospitality and F&B team. And not forgetting our greatest Host, Ms Reema she was really awesome and very organized person. She really makes our wedding anniversary cum holiday a memorable one. Thank You all!👍 In Short; Good - Everything and Such a Beautiful Scenic nature island. Bad - Can't think off any. 😉

Great location, delicious food, friendly and supportive staff Me and my wife had a great honeymoon over the last week in this hotel. We had lots of great experience and memories. Especially I should mention about the two staff members. Tharaka has a very good communication skill and also great customer care. She made our honeymoon so great. Tharaka always made sure that we got everything is in place and arranged. And Iqbal is the hero of my honeymoon scenario. Iqbal was my room boy and he suggested us on various ways to make sure that we are happy and comfortable. And one time I dropped my villa key in to the deep sea but this Iqbal (hero) jumped into the water and found my key. I wish Tharaka and Iqbal a great future and all the best.! Also I highly recommend this place anyone to go.

It was a memorable way to celebrate our tenth wedding anniversary—6 days/5 nights, once-in-a-lifetime experience in paradise. Kudos to GM Mario and his team, namely: Mirgul our soft-spoken, gracious, and most patient host who gave in to our every request without fail, so consistently efficient and very helpful from start ‘til our send-off. We also would to commend the following staff: Faizal, our butler during our BBQ grill by the beach; our ever-friendly buffet receptionists, Madhu, Dayanara (our kababayan), our regular waiter Jobe, and Alizahen, who decorated our bed with anniversary greeting with matching champagne and chocolate cake for us. The resort is a haven of everything magical—from the first time we stepped on picture-perfect, powdery white sand, to breathtaking views of the crystal-clear, turquoise-colored ocean, Beach BBQ night, snorkeling in Turtle Reef and Shark Point with our dive guide Aus, and our relaxing massages in Coco Spa on our last day to cap-off our vacation. Thank God for this glimpse of heaven on earth. Truly unforgettable!

We stayed at the Water Residences, the villa is spectacular and spacious! The island is pristine and filled with friendly staff! Our stay was made uber awesome by Hammadh - he planned our activities for and with us, gave us all the information needed and was the “definition of responsiveness” for anything and everything we needed during our stay. We went sand bank hunting on jet skis, took a sunset cruise, and a fabulous boat picnic while big game finishing, and shark spotting - these amongst the various other things on the island itself like the movie night! Hammadh is a top hospitality professional & we wish him the very best! Special shout out to our water sports instructor Jembe, and chef Dasun (killer grills and noodles! ) A great stay, would recommend coming here for your Maldivian holiday - Truly experienced the sunny side of life!

This hotel is amazing. We stayed at the escape water villa and the view was positively stunning! Boundless shades of blue/green right in front of our eyes. Seriously I felt my vacation is too short. Friendly staff too! Tharaka has been super helpful during our stay, arranging everything for us. Our buggy driver Jalil is also very kind and helpful. And those dancers and singer at the karaoke bars are super friendly with my four-year-old :-) Definitely would recommend it to friends and relatives. Thanks a lot, and see you next time!

A fabulous 2 nights stay at escape water-villa at this luxury resort. The view from the room is gorgeous. You can snorkel just down below your water villa with crystal clear turquoise waters. The corals are all natural unlike other manmade resorts. Saw sharks and sting rays cruising from the bedroom window. The rooms are clean, spacious and well-maintained. First-class professional service provided by the staff. The staff noted that it was our anniversary and out of their own accord gave a pleasant surprise by decorating our room nicely and even gave us complimentary champagne and cake! Thumbs up for the great service! Even though there was a miscommunication by a guest relations officer, the assistant manager Ahmed managed to resolve it amicably and decisively. Will definitely recommend this resort to all friends and relatives! Thank you for the wonderful rustic experience.

The reception we got from the arrival to departure was phenomenal. Our host Naazish was helpful and professional with handling our every need during our stay. Room was clean and the view was stunning. The restaurant staffs greeted us with a smile during every meal. Waiter Amjad and Manikfaan waitered our table. The food was exceptional. Also cannot miss out our bar men moosa with his helpful suggestions on the bar menu. In short i could say our whole stay was exciting and very relaxing. We had a wonderful experience when we visited the Coco Bodu Hithi resort in May 2023. When we reached Maldives, we were transferred by the resort speedboat to the island and once we were there, we were greeted by Tharaka. She was there to help us from our arrival till departure and made our holiday experience really comfortable making sure all our demands were fulfilled. The buffet food had enough veg options for us and Madhu was really helpful at the restaurant making our experience delightful. Indian food was good and there were chefs from Islamabad and Chennai making it authentic. Rooms are very cozy with all amenities and kept very clean. We were provided with water, coffee machine and mini bar fridge with enough refreshments (those will be charged extra). Beach villa is bigger and better as compared to water villa in my opinion and we stayed at both villas. However there are no complaints from the water villa as well. It was spacious and clean with pool and was quiet at night even with the sound of sea waves outside. Overall it was a really great experience and everyone there has been very helpful making our stay safe and comfortable.

From the moment we stepped into the island to the moment we left, it felt like we are in paradise! Coco Boduhithi turned out to be everything we had hoped for and more! We had a split stay so we had a tropical island feel in our superbly plush Island villa - its actually the biggest hotel room we have ever stayed in! With the pristine beach in front and a private pool at the back, it was just perfect. The cherry on the cake was the Escape water villa which was extremely spacious with ample room for a family to have our own private spaces. The infinity pool, the hammock, the open deck with stairs leading down to the the emerald green ocean was just bliss! Special mention for Tharaka, our relationship manager who made sure that we were comfortable and made our stay super smooth. Thank you team Coco .... we can't wait to come back!

Had a great trip with my family to Maldives and we stayed at Coco for couple days Things we liked: - Overall the island is very nice. - Staff is very polite, friendly and helpful, especially our assistant, Hammadeh. - Room is clean and spacious. - Water activity were nice. - Food is good enough, but nothing fancy. - Had a great excursion thanks to our assistant for organising it. - Liked that they have dress code rules at the restaurant although it didn’t feel it’s being enforced properly. Things would’ve been better: - Couldn’t enjoy the bathtub in the room because water flow was very low and it’d take forever to fill it. - Water activities and food are quite expensive, could have been cheaper.

Coco bodu hithi just exceeded our expectations🥰 this is one of the best travels we had because of them. from the island itself, rooms and especially the staffs. Our butler “hammadh” is just the beeest! Always there to assist us anytime! Literally anytime! Food variety is amazing. I just cant contain my happiness and satisfaction from our experience. Our requests are always granted tho even if we told them we r not expecting much but they even exceeded it! Its just beautiful and amaaazing! And its exactly whats on their picture / page, literally! We were just in awe when we arrived there. Super thank you coco for our great experience, especially the staffs! All amaaazing! And we always have surprises when we r back in the room! Totally totally amaziiiing!!!!🥰🥰🥰🥰

True 5 star experience! They made my honeymoon really special. The hospitality is top class, everyone greets you with a genuine smile anytime you pass by. Food is amazing, lots of options to choose from. Free snorkeling equipments and you can see some of the best corals and fishes right next to your water villas. Super peaceful and super private.

We had a very memorable stay at Coco Bodu Hithi.. and it's only fair to give a detailed review on their work.. The staffs at the resort at all level are very pleasant and supportive. We felt pampered during our stay there. The thoughtful table arrangements at Aqua made by Srimanthi and team & cake delivery at our room on our special day was a big surprise for us. Savias had a great rapport with his team in giving the best food and beverage experience to guests. He connects so well with the guests and makes them feel so warm during the stay. The room keeping team has been doing an amazing job during our stay. Every time we return after our outing, the room is magically set for a fresh start :) Most importantly I have never felt so comfortable in leaving my personal belongings in the room, in spite of knowing someone would visit the room in our absence. The resort seem to have an established process that keeps things going for each of the guest's need and interest. Just a couple of things to improve could be: 1. water sports team can be more encouraging and involved when interacting with guests. 2. Host person assigned or the reception could send a Good morning msg with the reminder on the scheduled event for the evening. 3. Would love to have more vegetarian options at fine dining restaurants.

Beautiful location, not worth the price

Paid over 8000 dollars for over water villa and all inclusive meals/drinks. Availability of all inclusive meals and drinks was incredibly restrictive. Drinks were limited at the all inclusive lounge. Even when sitting in the bar, it took an extremely long time to be served, even when there were only two other occupied tables. The room had a lovely view over the water. There was a plunge pool on the patio of the villa. It looks like it has been beat up pretty badly. The mosaic tiles were piled at the bottom, lose. Rusty, moldy grout and clearly the pool had not been cleaned recently, if it ever had been at all. The patio itself is where i spent most of my time. The wood was splintered and screws were sticking out in many locations. Many many bugs in the room. Understandable considering the tropical location, but there were flying insects and ants crawling all over the bathroom sinks, although all my toiletries were sealed up tight and the doors were always closed. Tried to be sold other things every time I left the room. Not interested in returning. For what people pay to come here, I was expecting a different kind of experience.

It is a very positive experience here in Bodu Hithi. To start of with I will highlight the negatives. 1. Water pressure in Escape Watervillas are very low 2. Tiles in the pool very beat up and also the deck seems a bit scary. 3. Could include more ala carte options in the packages. 4. Too much paperwork during check-in, not seemless I would say Now, time fro pros or what I liked about it. 1. Airport staff very friendly and helpful during arrival experience 2. Shifu & Hamad from Front desk are very professional & on point communication 3. Mika very helpful with check-in and escort to the villa 4. My villa attendant is amazing, his smile is very genuine and does a greatjob going extra mile to make sure my villa is spotless 5. Not sure of the name, but I ordered In villa breakfast twice, and the guy who came is extremely professional and polite. 6. The level of Service from Suresh in STARS restaurant was top knotch. I am a private butler for the past 6 years & his level of service and knowledge about STARS menu is exceptional. Great job Suresh! Overall I would say a great experience. I might come back 🫶

From the moment our speed boat reached to the coco palm jetty, we felt extremely welcomed, safely look after and totally at ease. Our beach pool villa was stunning and just what we needed for a relaxing holiday . We loved everything about the resort, from its beautiful beaches, great restaurants and bars especially the bar next to the residence. The service from the staffs were beyond my expectations. The staffs could not have all been more helpful and we were blessed to met Nittu, the man with kind heart . He went above and beyond to make sure that my girlfriend and I had the most special time we could have ever imagined. Showing us the real beauty of the island and some truly incredible and unexpected surprises for us .I would like to thanks to my host who helped me for checking and gave me information about the island . I will definitely come back to this hotel soon .

We had a perfect stay at cocopalm boduhithi . The villa,food and service was perfect. And if we had even tiny issue or anything we needed,we had it solved very fast by Nittu . He was very professional and kind. He was a true gentleman, there was no task too big or too small for him. He was on call 24/7 and he thoroughly enhanced our stay . A special thanks to Yaseen for making this trip extra easy and enjoyable. He is ready to assist with any matter. We will definitely come back to this hotel to celebrate my birthday . Note: property seems old and private pool mosaic was always falling apart, it felt sharp on the missing parts in the floor. We had problem with AC not cooling properly. But it was attended very fast.

If there is a paradise on earth, then it is definitely in the Maldives and definitely in Coco Body Hithi. This hotel deserves the rating of "luxurious" in all aspects. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a very friendly and professional hotel team who did everything they could to make our stay memorable. We were greeted with fresh cocktails and cool towels, and were given comprehensive information about all the amenities and services available at the hotel. Remma, who accompanied us throughout our vacation, is simply a professional in her field, she solved all the questions we had. Our room was simply amazing. It was decorated with incredible taste and had a wonderful view of the endless azure ocean. Everything in the room was thought out to the smallest detail, and the bed was extremely comfortable. We also enjoyed the large terrace where we could relax, enjoying the fresh sea air and the beautiful view. The hotel offers many entertainment and activities. We had the opportunity to ride with the wind on the stormy ocean on a jet ski. It is also worth visiting the luxurious spa, where you can relax during wonderful treatments and massages. There is a gym with a fantastic view of the ocean, a tennis court and much more. As for food, the hotel's restaurant offers a wide selection of international cuisine. We tasted real masterpieces of gastronomy, including fresh seafood and dishes made with local ingredients. The service was impeccable and the staff always friendly and attentive. An incredibly pleasant surprise - a surprise was a dinner on the shore of the ocean, on my birthday, 🎁🎁🎁💐everything was decorated so beautifully and everywhere there was a romantic atmosphere, the sound of the ocean, candles, my favorite lobster, a glass of dry white and an incredibly delicious dessert. In general, on my birthday, I was given a whole day of surprises and it was extremely pleasant. I am sure that I will return here more than once, because I received so many positive and pleasant emotions in one place for the first time. My four days at Coco Bodu Hithi were an enchanting journey beyond imagination. The emerald-hued sea embraced me with its ethereal beauty, leaving me speechless in its presence. Each sunset unfolded like a vibrant masterpiece, as if nature had unleashed a palette of colors just for me. The culinary delights were a symphony of flavors, tantalizing my taste buds with every exquisite bite. However, what truly moved me was the impeccable attention to detail and genuine warmth bestowed upon me by Butler Nittu and Manager Mr. Fayaz. Memorable first time in Maldives!

This was our first trip to Maldives and we kept our expectations low given it was off season. But we had a great time and a big reason is the Coco resort! It’s a tad old but more than makes up for it with its hospitality and the friendliest staff! We stayed in the coco residence water villa which boasted a large terrace with a lap pool, day bed, loungers and a nook table. The large villa was very comfortable for the 4 of us with a separate room for the kids ( the beds were already setup for the kids which was nice). The all inclusive plan includes food at the buffet place Air, beverages and select meals at the other fine dining restaurants. The only downside was there weren’t enough vegetarian options in these restaurants. But the buffet was large and varied enough to meet our needs. There were Indian options everyday for all meals - which especially worked out for our family. Rich reef life everywhere, right off the villa - amazing for snorkeling. Recommend water shoes in general for Maldives. Free use of snorkel equipment and non water sports. Amazing infinity pool and bars. Tons of activities and lovely beaches to laze on. Not many shaded loungers on the beaches but was enough for the off-season crowd. Special shout-out to our host Nishau/Nittu - who was amazing and took great care of us! There was an issue with the AC in our room and he persisted with the engineers till it was fixed. Took care of all our needs, reservations and activities. Arranged for a pool breakfast even with the off-season breezy winds. Also a shoutout to Nazhar at the diving center, Dayanara the hostess at the Air restaurant, Naahe at Stars, Naahil and many others that made our stay so memorable! Thank you Coco!

Cozy island stay

Beautiful and cozy resort with spectacular views. The water villa we stayed is huge for a couple and is well maintained, with a big bath tub and outdoor pool. The free snorkeling equipment is a definite plus. The food at Stars restaurant is fabulous though the price is on the steep side. Our friendly host, Tharaka, did her best to ensure that our stay is a pleasant one and even arranged for late checkout of our room to 6pm at no additional charge (subject to availability) as our flight is only at 9.30pm. Truly appreciate the warm hospitality received and will definitely recommend this resort for a quiet, relaxing stay.

We would like to thank Coco Bodu Hithi for our well spent time here. Tharaka, the staff in charge of our stay, is very helpful. We wanted to go for a group fishing however we were the only couple available. Tharaka went the extra mile to ask other couple if they were interested and managed to arrange for one group fishing the following day. We stayed for 3 nights at Island Villa, 2 nights at Water Villa, and last night at Coco Residence. The transfer is smooth and Tharaka gave us early check in to the next room so that we dont have to wait till 2/3pm from the check out time at 12pm. The rooms were great and the view for all 3 rooms were very nice! Thank you Tharaka for the great arrangement! The housekeeping over at island villa was very nice. He, Emon, cleaned our room daily when we went for breakfast and topped up the bottled drinks daily. Hammadh was in charge of our transfer to Coco Residence as Tharaka wasnt working. He was very helpful and provided the best service and recommendations for our stay in CR. The in charge of our baggage, Iqbal we very helpful and even to our photo like a professional! The pictures turned out great! Thank you. The staff at Air restaurant were also very nice and helpful. Thanks to Ali, Aktar and one of the Pakistani chef for our great time thru out our breakfast and dinner there. The female staffs were also very attentive to our needs. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at Coco Bodu Hithi. Surely we will come back again! Thank you!

Highly recommend families traveling with kids

We were at Coco palm boduhithi on July 2023 with a baby and two teenagers. All of us loved everything about the property. Beautiful house reef to snorkel, kids enjoyed tennis, football, table tennis. We have been to many resorts in maldives but this is one of the best. Excellent service. Very family friendly and we would highly recommend Coco palm bodu hithi for families traveling with kids. Our teen boys had a great stay as well. Our three day stay went by so fast that we were so sad to leave. Front Office Ahmed and team Very well communicated from pre arrival to departure. On arrival there was a huge team to welcome the guests. And Boduberu (Local, Traditional music) was played. In Villa check in was done to make sure guest gets every single minute to enjoy on the island. A very smooth departure process was organised by Ahmed and his team. Bills were sent to us in advance, we did not had to come to reception to pay, instead easily Bank transfer option was there too. Front office team is always very well communicated. A very brief explanation about the island was given. When ever we stop by, they always make sure we are been attended. The shuttle buggy service was so good. (Jaleel & Dhulaal) always gives a big smile. Housekeeping Shammi and his team (we don't remember the name of the person who cleans our villa ) Knowing there are friendly people always ready to help us makes our holiday more comfortable. Every single request has been delivered on time, it was so impressive to see the baby cot & high chair on arrival, clean towels, Sheets and comfortable bed makes us feel like home. For the spotless and hardworking cleaning team we would like to give ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Having Private pools at all the villas on the island were a big plus. Spa We enjoyed the massage at the spa, it was one of the best treatments we have ever taken. F&B Manikfan and team We had all our meals at Air Restaurant. The place is great and such a nice atmosphere. Service is unbelievable. The staff truly cares about your experience. making the customers happy is their main priority. They made us feel welcomed and gave us an amazing experience. Everyone finds a good timing to come and say something that makes us more welcome. The food is absolutely amazing, everything we tasted melted in our mouths. Absolutely the best meals we had, We all loved the food. Especially the eggs Benedict for breakfast. Baby food was always ready on time and baby loved the taste every single time. IT The speed of internet was excellent. If you are having a lazy time Netflix would be your most ideal choice and it's there on your Tv which is in all the villas. Water sports Politely, friendly & Knowledgeable staffs. You don't need to be bored, even if it's a single traveler you still can find so many things to do in there.for water sports related activities you name it, they have it. Transportation On our arrival the weather was not very pleasant, however captain 👩‍✈️ Ahmed and his team gave us the best ride. We are definitely coming back with our kids to this amazing resort. My family had an incredible experience at Coco Bodu Hithi! A beautiful resort that seemed set out of a movie. We loved the pristine ocean and beach, the natural beauty of the island and the incredible over-the-water villas. It would be hard to find such beauty in another part of the world. It is quite a long journey for a family from North America - but it’s worth it. Something that everyone should try to experience at least once in their lifetime. The staff at Coco are extremely accommodating and helpful and always go out of their way to assist their guests. We always able to do whatever we wanted to do. Yaseen - our representative, was top-notch and always there to assist us on our vacation. He was a pleasure to deal with. We wish him all the best! We would definitely recommend this resort to anyone thinking of coming to paradise!

This Hotel is a Dream !

From the moment they received us in the dock till the moment we leave this hotel it was a dream! . It has so many good things. To start the the food from the buffet was always great with a lot of options. We had dinner one night at Aqua restaurant!... it was amazing also!. The daily activities very good, karaoke!, movies at the beach by night!... all of them very good! We requested a sunset view villa over the water and that's what we got!... amazing view! Very good snorkeling area (ask for good places!) we had the opportunity to see turtles, stingrays and even a couple of sharks! beside hundreds of colorfoul fishes! The staff always with a smile on their faces ... we really appreciatte that! Special thanks to Nittu, who received us and was always concern about our needs and questions!!!..He had a really good vibe!... I recommend this resort !! Maybe they could improve a little bit the lunch in the buffet restuarant. We felt sometimes the lunch had less alternatives than the dinner buffet.

Poorly maintained resort with bad service and bad snorkeling.

We had wanted to visit this resort for a few years, due to the large amount of positive reviews that we had read. Unfortunately it turned out it's all untrue. Starting with our arrival, we had to wait about 2 hours for the boat, which was a shared transfer with another island. The boat was packed full of people. We arrived and the whole check-in procedure was very slow, it seemed like we're waiting for nothing. Finally our butler (I'm not sure if this is the correct term) Mr. Nazish had successfully sent us to the villa. And what a disappointment it was. The pictures online are really photoshopped. The villa, while very spacious, is severely run down and in dire need of renovation. Everything is barely working and holding together, the wooden parts were painted multiple times and just look bad, there's sprays of paint on the windows. I've been in some budget resort in the Maldives which are way better maintained than this. The outdoor bed was dirty and stayed dirty even after I specifically asked Mr. Nazish to either clean it or change it. He said he'll fix it and just didn't. By the way he was very hard to reach on the phone. The indoor bathroom is depressing, I can't explain why, it's just not friendly. The outdoor bathroom is OK, considering it's mostly concrete and doesn't look that bad. However it's full of bugs everywhere all the time. They spray, I saw them, but there's still bugs. At the previous resort we had not a single bug bite for a week. The outdoor area is OK and the beach space is also OK. We booked Half Board. Food in the non-main restaurant was bad. Food in the main restaurant was very good and that's the only good thing about this resort. Plenty of variety and different themed dinners. However I didn't like the fact that they are constantly "running out" of fruit like papaya, while I know this isn't true. Also the boy who was cutting the fruit watched us every time we go to take some, like he's paying for it himself. I'm sorry but if you're charging people for buffet dinner, you're supposed to provide enough food, including fruit. Admittedly we do tend to eat lots of fruit, but we don't eat lots of meat, shrimp or other more expensive stuff. So I don't want the staff to make me feel guilty for eating more papaya than the average visitor. Also, the dinner is supposed to be included, but every non-alcoholic drink, including water, is paid extra. I don't like this practice. Snorkeling was bad. We tried to snorkel in many different locations, including the ones recommended by the staff. The water was murky, very low visibility and there was almost no sea life. Good coral regrowth though, if you can see it. Our flight back was at 8pm so the boat to Male was supposed to leave the resort at 6pm "island time", which is 5pm Male time. First of all, "island time" is fake. It's a made up thing which they use to kick you out an hour earlier. So on the last day we found out that the boat is actually leaving at 4pm, which is 3pm Male time, or 5 hours before our flight. Apparently this was the only option. One of the reasons we chose this resort was that it's close to Male and we won't have to wait a few hours at the airport, as we would had if we were arriving by a seaplane. We asked for late check out at least - sure, that would be $250 plus tax. Laughable. They said they'd provide us with a room where we can shower and change our clothes before departure. As a last surprise, when arriving at the room all salty from the sea, we learned there's no running water. We had to wait until they fix it and barely made it to the boat on time. Overall we had terrible experience and I'd say this is the worst Maldives resort that we've been so far, out of 9 total. We're never coming back to this place or going to any place from the Coco chain. I had canceled my mother's February reservation due to our (me and wife) dreadful experience and I keep advising people on the TripAdvisor forum to avoid this resort. I'm leaving 2 stars instead of 1, because the food at breakfast and dinner was very good. If you think I'm overreacting with this review, you should check the attached pictures.

Excellent honeymoon in COCO Residence

The island was very clean, well-kept, when we arrived it was night and we were met by several smiling people, we were met by a guide named Nitu, he was exceptionally friendly and attentive. One day He arranged a table for us for the honeymoon with his own hands, which was very beautiful. His actions made us fall in love with the island, he fulfilled our requests without hesitation and with great love, He is a very good and positive person. I would like to have such staff in my hotel in Georgia)) All the staff on the island are smiling, the service is very good, the nature is amazing. Our honeymoon was truly unforgettable. If anyone is thinking of coming here, I recommend you to come and spend some amazing days.

Magnificent Maldives

A trip to this one of a kind resort was the most memorable among all our trips. Apart from the gorgeous location, excellent facilities, magnificent views, and fantastic food, we also want to highlight some exceptional service. Firstly, our assigned butler, Nishau was simply superb. He was like a genie who would magically appear whenever we needed something. Right from the arrival and all the way until departure, he guided us to make the most of our 4 days in paradise. Kudos to the resort for hiring such wonderful and knowledgeable staff. Our family of 4 also want to mention exceptional service by Sinoop in Aqua restaurant, Tina and Cynthia massage therapists, Rejitha in sunrise yoga class, Bilal and Dulal the very sweet buggy drivers, Liton the chef in air restaurant, all the boys in water sports section and many others! We will surely return next year!

From booking Coco to arriving on the island our experience was unbelievable. Salwa was our host and did an amazing job helping us with all our requests and sorted out everything for us. She truly made our trip that even more memorable. She explained everything at the start of our trip and gave us her WhatsApp to keep in contact and she regularly checked in with us showing that she takes care of all her guests. Celebrating my birthday she organised a special treat for us and even upgraded us from our originally booked water villa to Coco Residence which was out of this world. We can’t begin to thank her enough for her commitment to making our stay that little bit more special. Another shout out to Sirnivas. He kept us topped up with drinks, food and was very hospitable. He greeted us every morning and was always on hand during our time at Stars in the morning and evening. He really deserves special recognition at Coco he was fantastic. The resort itself is beautiful. A real oasis and not too much of a journey from Male but far enough to feel secluded. Coco residence villa was far better than expected and was very private. The food at air, stars and aqua was brilliant. Huge variety and enjoyable. Our first trip to the Maldives and hopefully not our last. We will definitely be staying at Coco again. Thank you so much to everyone at Coco you guys really do a fantastic job.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel this year. Staff were attentive and welcoming. we stayed in escape room at the ocean that cost us around 2200 USD for three nights so it was excellent value for money. compared to other hotels. Our private butler ( Nazish) was great and responsive and accommodated my late checkout with no charge. if you go there, make sure to eat in the sea food restaurant. Their maldivean lobster was one of the best I ever had.

Fantastic 20th anniversary trip

My wife and I just returned from our 20th anniversary trip. Highly recommend staying in the residences over the water. These come with a butler for your stay. Nitttu was amazing….from the personal service to the daily surprises for our anniversary. He truly made our anniversary a very special event for my wife and I. The food in the restaurants is good. However the food at any of the experiences is truly special. Our favorite was the wine pairing dinner in the wine loft. I’ve dinner at Michelin restaurants and the personal experience they created for us was one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. From the spot on wine selections by the somlier (how doubled as our waiter for the night and was fantastic)….to the food (wagyu beef cooked to perfection, ravioli, seafood appetizers….). The beach cookout was amazing as well, fresh grilled lobster and prawns were my favorite (you have a selection of seafood, beef, chicken and vegetables). Our waitress Sonya was incredible and very attentive. We also tried a pergola dinner, which was a private table on the beach. Nittu and the team had lots of special surprises for us from sand designs on the beach to a special dessert. If you stay in the residences, you have access to the star’s restaurant for breakfast….by the second day our waiter (I’m sorry I can’t remember his name) knew what we liked to eat/drink and always had our same table ready for us whether we showed up at 8:30 or 10:30. Most of the time we hung out in our villa on the deck enjoying the amazing weather When we ventured outside the room we mostly hung out on the hammocks near the residence bar area. Sri also picked up on what we liked to drink and eat and pretty much just brought us what we liked without us having to even ask for it. He was a delight to talk to and really felt like he was our personal server. They have plenty of activities (snorkeling g, diving, etc…). But as our first vacation away from the kids in many years, we pretty much just enjoyed eating and relaxing, which was very easy to do there. We had such an amazing trip and can’t thank Nittu and the rest of the staff for such an awesome vacation. We hope to be back soon.

We had a dream 20th anniversary trip thanks to Coco Bodu Hithi and the amazing staff! We loved every special touch from the thoughtful messages left in palm leaves on our bed multiple times, to the personal attention to every detail of dinners and special events. Nittu welcomed us the moment we arrived & went above and beyond everyday to make our time more than we could have imagined. Sri even knew our favorite drinks by the 2nd day, and made us feel so at home everyday. The staff was so personal and friendly and people like Sonya continued to Wow us. There were so many outstanding staff i can’t mention them all! The Somlier made our wine loft dinner one we will never forget. Our 1st trip to the Maldives was more than we dreamed of and can’t wait to return to Coco Bodu

Breathtaking Maldives

Our first trip to the Maldives and it was a memorable experience. From when we first got off on the docks to the entire time spent, was amazing. We stayed at Coco Residence and it was the best decision. The view was breathtaking. We enjoyed a great weekend getaway and look forward to our next trip here. Yasin was a great host and his team were awesome (incl. Sinoop). 😊 The staff of Coco Bodu - Star Bar & Restaurant (Jayakody & Suraj), Air Restaurant (Chef Robish), Latitude Bar (Jense) and a special shout out to Aqua Restaurant (Faisal & Seemanthi for a very special dinner) were always accommodating to our every need.

This place is Incredibly gorgeous and peaceful . Beauty and hospitality of this nature is rare . While Maldives is a beautiful place what made this stay amazing and special is the resort staff and team who are always smiling and just so kind and full of love . A special shout out to Nishau ( Nittu) our butler , Sanjay , Savias, Viali, Sri , Madhu , Mohammad Shiham . I don’t remember all the names but the service everywhere was impeccable. Food par excellence . We really enjoyed the water sports . There is no doubt that I’ll be returning here . The coco residence room is heavenly !

From the water villa room, to the food, to the whole staff, everything was on point. It was also my dad’s birthday and they made the perfect arrangement for it so we all are really grateful for that :) The best part in the whole stay was the people working there, they have my heart ❤️ Special thanks to Nazish, Jalil, Hamdhan, Alex, the chefs at Air, thank you guys for being so welcoming and helpful, you guys are the sweetest.
