The Trou-aux-Biches accommodation is absolutely stunning. We stayed at one of the senior beachfront suites with private pool. Livingroom, bedroom and bathroom are huge very comfortable. Terrace is outstanding with the perfect view. Private pool very inviting. Service of butler and housekeeping outstanding. Bed, larger than normal with very good mattress. Outside shower, superb. Friendly staff.

Just came back from this fanatic resort with my family, words cannot describe the experience... Accommodation was stunning, thanks for the room, service was impeccable from start to finish, food was incredible in all outlets. My family and I would really like to thank a few Artisans, namely: Sarah, Anand, Hellodie, Sylvain, Didier Michaud, Sandro, Nicolas and his team, Kevin at Mahiya, Devi, Jonathan, Kevissen, the Housekeeping team, Chef and team and a huge thank you to Stephan Lagesse the General Manager and Theo Fleurié the Hotel Manager, it was a great family experience. From the moment you step in you feel in Paradise. So many different areas to explore , no two days are the same . Spa, cycle , beach, pool the possibilities are endless. And yet it retains the feel on an intimate resort where the staff recognise you and great you like old friends . Service is impeccable without being obtrusive. They have the ‘ambience ‘ spot on - chilled out but with a cool vibe . Loved booking the buggy to collect us from our room for cocktails at sunset ! The room was divine and the cheapest available - absolutely enormous with a beautiful balcony overlooking the garden . Super comfy bed and an enormous bath and power shower. Will definitely return and love to try the family villa or beach front room with plunge pool !

We were disappinted in general with the service however we made peace that post covid standards were not what they used to be at or not what we were offered for the same brand of hotels on Matitius. . Our outmost fustration was when we were were charged MUR10, 000 5 months after our stay. 4 enquires to the hotel and no response. Very disappointing.

Amazing resort with unbelievable activities and facilities. Would strongly recommend Blue Ginger Thai restaurant. The water skiing could be better. The staff didn’t listen to hand signals about speed (too slow) and the route is short (should be optionally longer runs) Nitesh has been our waiter for our last 3 evenings and the service has been fantastic so Thankyou.

For our point of view, la Caravelle has been the best restaurant of the resort. It is characterized by a wonderful view, delicious food and best waiters. We strongly suggest the breakfast and the lunch even if, during the dinner, good live music is played.

Such a wonderful resort. We went all inclusive and no regrets. The restaurants are excellent - and the drinks are also phenomenal. Anisha at the bar looked after us all well - such a nice gentle way about her. The young lad working the drinks at the pool was another outstanding person who also made our holiday. Sorry I did not get your name but there cannot be many Manchester City supporters in the resort! The location was perfect, the waterskiing was also so friendly and exceptional. We did have a problem initially getting the restaurants booked but it was resolved and I think that the resort will work on sorting that quibble out, but the management were so attentive to ensure that everything was perfect. Our travel agent dropped the ball on a couple of matters but the resort staff were so wonderful in sorting things out. The resort is so spacious with plenty of pools and gardens and a truly magical place which is so much better than the photos on the website. It’s perfect for everyone whether recharging batteries as a solo traveller to couples to families. Also excellent tours - we had a bespoke all day tour for six of us in a private mini bus for just £145 - excellent value. Such a lovely vibe in the resort and no trouble whatsoever from any guests. In summary, thank you so much to all the team for a wonderful holiday. This place has good reviews for a very good reason. It’s hands down the best resort in the island. So spacious (maybe half a mile long) yet so friendly - we were pretty much always greeted by name. Thank you to all of the wonderful team.

The hotel is really nice and the room equipped very well. The food was excellent in all restaurants that we attended. The risotto at the Italian restaurant was superb!!!! The kids club is really nice. On top of that all the artisans are so welcoming and helpful. Always smiling and helpful. The overall experience was amazing.

Great week end spent at trou aux biches hotel. The staff were very welcoming and what I truly appreciated is the fact that Mauritian were not given less treatment, compared to the experience I've got in other hotels. Stunning Location with probably the best sunsets on the Island! The Troux Aux Biches enjoys a prime position on the North West Coast of the Island. In true Beachcomber style the staff are all wonderful. They simply can't do enough to ensure that your stay is as enjoyable as possible. The rooms were wonderful with the added benefit of an outside shower, should you choose to take one! The food was sublime the Carpaccio of Beef was the nicest I have tasted! I cannot praise this hotel, its Staff and location highly enough. You won't be disappointed!

We travelled as a family of 8x adults, and we were highly impressed with everything at the resort. It’s absolutely gorgeous! yes, at this place, the pictures are a true reflection of what you see. The entire resort is set up to cater for any type of holiday goer. If you are all about the activities – there are plenty to choose from. If you just want to relax and drink cocktail – they sure have a stack to choose from. The food is incredible – we stayed a week and couldn’t get enough of it. There are multiple restaurants to choose from and they all have amazing cuisines. I would highly recommend this place and will definitely return. They really take care of you and ensure that you have the best stay ever. The staff are all super friendly and helpful. We went to the hotel for honeymoon. It was a great experience for us. At the check-in stage, hotel provide us a guidiance, Mr. Ibrahim, who take care of us any time we need an assistancy. He was a magic man who was with us anytime as we need restaurant reservation, need of water or towel and so on. Cleaning room 2 times per day was great also. Hotel is huge, lots of pools and activities as scuba, snorkelling, sunset watching and so on. Thanks for all staff, specially Mr. Ibrahim for his kindness and his effort to assist us any time (7/24 really!) that we need.

We travelled as a family of four with two children to celebrate our wedding anniversary and my birthday. Everthing from the beach suite,the landscape, the spa,the dining facilities and the service provided by the room dining was unbelievable. Their's lot to mention but yassiin and his colleagues from the room dining was outstanding. He took great care our of children with the planning of their meals and also the marvellous candlelight dinner on our terrace. He's very good and sincere in doing his job and I think he need a raise so he continues with his outstanding work. We truly hope to come back...

It was amazing stay for 5 nights in Beachcomber. The hotel was very well-organized on many things such as room equipments, cleaning, beach&pool beds etc. Outside shower was a favorite place. There were plenty of restaurants which we experienced. A la carte service was great. Variety of breakfast&lunch&dinner options were quite good. Pool beds were extra comfortable. Cocktails were obviously being prepared by the well educated bartenders. The resort has an amazing long beach and a huge pool in the center of the area. Small sized pools are also exists very close to villas. Everything was arranged for guests to relax and enjoy the resort. It is not only a great place to rest but also gives chance to experience many different activities. The staff were so polite and kind and hospitality. Special thanks to Roshan from concierge and especially Loveish from the reception for his amazing support and cooperation.

Booked since April to celebrate b’day. Were 10 persons. Everything was ok till 22nd June we had all rooms near each other. Took 5 rooms. But on the day of check in, waited for 1 hour before check in . Everything was in a mess. We had rooms far from each other . My mum 80 years old got a room far from us , and upstairs. Incredible! They changed everything to give to tourists. WHY???? Because they can do all the mess with us as we are Mauritians. But they must think about COVID period when there was not a single tourist coming and hotels had to plead to Mauritians to fill in the hotels. One of our members had an argument at the bar as “soi disant” the system on the computer doesn’t him as a client? Very impolite and cheap.

For such a big resort, the food was extremely good. There are 6 restaurants on site with various taste and a great buffet. When the food outdoes the beach, you understand how good it was. We were a family of 6 including a child and our server ‘Dheeraj’ was excellent to understand our needs given we were vegetarians and both me and my child hurt (unable to walk much)! This place is much recommended to have an amazing experience for everything overall! Thanks hotel management for everything, we will be back!

Really nice and huge hotel specially if you want to embed a luxury hotel with a botanical garden. The views are breathtaking specially at night. The room is just waow. You have all what you need for your stay and they are being cleaned twice a day. The service at the bar and near the pool is irreproachable. No need to call them, they frequently comes towards you for any order(food or drink). But was a bit disapointed with the lunch and dinner. There are no much variety. Went to their 4 star hotel(le canonier) and the food variety/choicethere was much better. Sometime the recipients are empty and you have to wait(even though there was not that much people in the restaurant) Sometimes, they tell you that it will not be replenished as there's no more. The entertainment at night is good(not excellent). We had 2 different DJs on 2 different days but they played the same style/genre of music and several times, the same song. Also, not enough chairs for everyone to watch the shows at night. You need to rush with your dinner so that you can go there early to secure a place to sit. The pathway needs more light and some speakers would be really nice given that its a huge hotel and that we have to walk a lot. so some music during the trip to our room would be nice. Saw some comments whereby they said that the pools were heated but it was not the case. Neither the private pools nor the main pool are heated. So didnt swim during my 3 days stay. But overall, it's a very nice hotel. Sure you'll love it.

We were on the Escape package and stayed in a Junior Suite which was really spacious and lovely. A really beautiful resort with well kept landscaped gardens and beach. The food in all the restaurants were of really high quality and really enjoyed our dinners in La Caravelle and Blue Ginger. The worst service we’ve ever experienced. There’s nothing 5-star about this place. Housekeeping is the pits and waiters are terribly rude except for La Caravelle and Il Corallo, the rest get irritated when you ask for anything and are just plain cold and unfriendly. The rooms are not cleaned, they just make the beds. Oh the beds are horrible. They need to invest in proper mattresses. The only thing 5-star is the location. This place is 2 stars at best.

Amazing hotel with incredibly friendly staff! Everyone went above and beyond to cater to our needs. From checking in to checking out our stay was incredible. We was greeted with a cold towel and a refreshing drink on arrival and check-in was a seemless easy process done by Jeff. While waiting for our room, we booked our themed restaurants for dinner with Darshini & Roukaya who catered for dietary requirements. They made arrangements with the chefs at the different restaurants to make sure we was was well fed. We ate at Mahiya (Indian) three times during our stay. The food was so tasty fresh and full of favour every time. They fully catered to our dietary requirements and the service was 5*s! A great fine dining experience. On my wifes birthday we booked the Italian. Another great fine dining experience with amazing food and staff. And a yummy eggless cake to celebrate the birthday. Big thank you to Ranjit at oasis who made sure we got our eggless pasties and masala chai every morning. A very big thank you to the chefs who prepared the eggless pasties and veggie food for us. A big thank you to Koober for making the masala chai for us every morning. And Manoj who always served us with great service. Gym facilities are top notch, with good machines. The water activity staff are great, standing outside in the heat all day and always willing to help. The cleaners are the like the engine of the hotel. There behind the scenes but without them the room wouldnt look so welcoming after a day out in the sun. I was amazed as another cleaner attends at night while your out for dinner to freshen the room again. The hotel grounds are kept perfect, and its beautiful to just go around for a walk. All staff from cleaners, security, beach, garden, reception, gym, kitchen and bar staff happily greet you everytime they see you. All so happy and super friendly. A big sorry if i havent mentioned your name, but all of you are a true GEM to the hotel. Amazing sunset and sunrises can be seen by the beach front. All in all, one of the best hotels we have stayed at and highly recommend booking this hotel for your stay in Mauritius.

Great resort with even greater staff

We had a great stay at Trou aux biches Beachcomber. The rooms are spacious (we were staying in a Junior suite). Housekeeping was very present in our opinion, so don't forget to put your Do-not-disturb-sign on the door, because they come by very often to make sure you have everything you need. And while that is nice, should you need something, it sometimes disturbed our relaxing in room time. Long story short, cleaning staff did a great job, but we would be totally ok, with a little less housekeeping and no turn-down service. When it comes to your stay. Halfboard worked great for us, we would not have been able to eat/drink the amount needed to warrant the experience package or even fullboard. The food was great and we recommend booking your restaurants on the day of arrival for all your nights and to avoid the buffet-restaurant if you can. We would recommend having breakfast at la Carevelle, because it smaller and you have the ocean view. Also have breakfast early and dinner late because it's nice and peaceful on all locations. A special mention to the staff that made our stay even more special: Girish (Blue Ginger) and Jessen (Mahiya) made the service during dinner very relaxing and enjoyable. Mamed and Veeney made our poolside stays at the main pool even more of a luxury experience. They were very attentive and always up for a friendly chat and making sure we were not missing anything. They for sure upgraded the experiece from 5 to 6 stars for us. We will definitely comeback.

If you are a lover of Indian and Asian food you will have the best restaurants of the island at Troux aux Biches Hotel. My favourite dish was salmon - half cooked with truffle potato purée. I can assure you that it will melt in your mouth. With restaurant managers Sailesh at Blue Ginger and Shezaad at Mahayana I experienced the same unique Mauritian hospitality as I did 30 years ago when I first visit the island. Don’t miss to have a chat with these gentlemen. Other countries have copied the Mauritian hospitality - but we all know that copies won’t be the same as the original!

Family friendly hotel but hotel does have some issues

Nice family friendly hotel however room given for an infant and toddler was at least a 10 min walk from the swimming pool and main restaurant. Limited hot vegetarian dishes and dinner was only available after 6.30pm for our 3 yr old despite being all inclusive. This we were only told on our last night and for 2 nights we had to wait until 7pm to give her dinner. We were also only told on the second night that request for vegetarian food have to be made in advance despite making it clear at check in that we are a vegetarian family. The chef did try his best to provide vegetarian food on our second night but this could have been avoided if the right information had been given to us at check in.

Great hotel with an excellent kids club.

Great property with excellent water sports. We had a great snorkeling experience apart from the usual kayaking. Beach is great. Kids club is amazing. They have scheduled kids activities which kids will love. So if you are travelling with kids it’s. Great place to be. It however lacks a general warmth. It could be because of the large hotel and the large number of guests. That’s something that the hotel should work on.

Great for a relaxing holiday after our daughters wedding

We travelled here after our youngest got married. Staying in a 2 bed villa, Karen our host looked after us splendidly, preparing breakfast every morning beside our own pool was fantastic & meant a chilled start to the day. We had a couple of massages, played a few rounds of golf at Mont Choisy & a trip to see whales & dolphins (I’ll have to do another review on these!) All organised with no hassle from the hotel we were treated treated like royalty. There are half a dozen different restaurants to choose from - our preferred ones were the Thai & Indian ones. Plenty of water sports on offer. The beach being a 5 minute walk from our villa. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again should we return to Mauritius

We have spend 8 days at Beachcomber Troux Aux Biches. We have always felt welcomed by the staff. The best: Beach and gardens The hotel is built along a beautiful stretch of beach. So every room is not to far from the beach. Gardens are Absolutely beautiful To improve: Individual placemats at breakfast and lunch, that are just swiftly cleansed before the next guest, are not suitable for a 5 stars hotels. They Lack the sense of luxury and are impossible to get property cleansed. Rooms, furniture are getting tiered. Hygiene standard from Housekeeping also should be reviewed by management.

Most spectacular resort we have visited so far, the resort is stunning and beautiful and boasts several in house resturants,Asian,Indian,Italian and buffets, from the get go we were treated like royalty. The staff at resturants Chef Rishi,Roy ,Manoj and team were amazing attending to every special request we had, the kids club were superb kept our kids entertained the entire duration Maya and Jonathan and team, my kids refused to leave kids club.The resort went out of their way to keep us entertained to the max with day and night events planned. We were sure to take an all -inclusive package which included all meals and drinks for the duration of the holiday. Included in the package was free spa vouchers,and discount vouchers at the onsite stores which was an added bonus.The food was amazing with a buffet boasting several different themes each night. The entertainment at la plage was superb. Rooms were spacious, and the resort has few heated pools for those colder than normal days. Activities like snorkeling,water skiing, glass bottom boat rides were all free of charge. The beach itself was beautiful, with small beach bars serving drinks along the path. Every staff member was pleasant an polite and always had smiles on their faces no matter how diffecult their jobs were which is a huge plus for me. Overall this was 1 of the best resorts we have ever been to. Wish it didn't have to end.

We did our Open Water and Nitrox course at Diving World es Trou Aux Biches Beachcomber Hotels during our wonderful Mauritius holiday! It doesn't get any better than this! The place perfect to learn scuba diving, but most of all: the team! Our heartfelt thanks go to the entire, super friendly team of the diving school! But especially to our instructor Teelagavadee S Soobroyen ;-), better known by her nickname Sweety - for the international audience ;-)! Sweety is an absolutely experienced and highly professional diving instructor who takes care of every single customer with great expertise, humour and empathy! Diving is indeed a highly mental subject - there can be a feeling of fear for one or the other during the first dive(s)! Sweety really has everything under control and we are convinced that her great work will make many clients stick to their new hobby! Respect and many thanks for the brilliant experiences in Mauritius' breathtaking underwater world!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at the beautiful Trou Aux Biches Resort and Spa! The gardens were really well looked after and so well set out. Although there were more than 800 guests, it never felt like it as the resort is so spacious. The staff really made our stay even more special. Although all the staff where friendly and helpful, there were a few that stood out from the rest: Nikesh was exceptional! Wherever we were in the complexes he would always make the time to come over and greet us and ensure that we were looked after. He went above and beyond our expectations in assuring we were happy. He was always professional and appeared to be well respected by the staff. Sanjana at La Caravelle Restaurant was an absolute gem, she was always smiling and exceptionally friendly, helpful and efficient. She went the extra mile and made us feel so special when she gifted us with her home-made sweets, which were delicious! Dave at La Caravelle Restaurant was exceptional! He was a dynamic little man! Always ready to share a laugh along with fantastic service! Rambo, the beach bar supervisor was so friendly and helpful and was so passionate about the resort and always spoke about how much he loved his job, which showed in his exceptional service. Prakash at Le Plage Restaurant was very professional and helpful and provided excellent service. Barlen at La Caravelle Restuarant went the extra mile and gave us a wine tasting of the Beachcomber selection of wines! What a special memory he created for us!! Deep at Beach bar 600 always ensured we were never thirsty on the beach! He was so friendly and helpful. Anisha at L' Oasis Bar was also so friendly and helpful. Mahiya Restaurant, we only got to visit once sadly, on our last night, the food was so delicious and their service was exceptional! All the staff we spoke to always told us how well Beachcomber looked after the staff. They were all very happy in their jobs and it showed in the fantastic service provided by all the staff we encountered! Well done Beachcomber!

An incredible family holiday in Mauritius

The most incredible hotel we have ever stayed at. It was our first time in Mauritius and this hotel came recommended by very many people. The rooms are huge and spacious we stayed in a two bedroom family room. They were so accommodating and even provided me with a feeding chair steriliser and warmer for my baby bottles. We have two boys aged 8 and 5 and a 7month old baby. Dass checked us in and spent an hour giving us all the information we would need. Rishi the chef provided us with special meals for our baby every single day and even made us Indian food. Roy and Manoj at the restaurants were just such amazing and helpful staff. They always helped seat us in a spot that suited the baby chair and made sure we had the best experience. The kids club and the adult activities were so much fun.... We played volleyball, golf and table tennis which was all included. Maya and Jonathon from the kids club stoled my boys hearts and they are such kid friendly people it's really not a job for them but fun. The kids didn't wanna ever do stuff with us. We took all inclusive and I would recommend it as drinks expensive. I would also recommend that you book all activities the first day that u get there including reservations at the restaurants as it all gets booked out very fast. All the restaurants were great but my fave was the Asian one. Honestly cannot wait to do a Beachcomber holiday again it was nothing short of incredible!!!! Thank you for an amazing experience. Also they clean your room and replace towels etc twice a day and this is just sooo helpful. Ehsan was so accommodating of coming and going to suit our times. I don't know if it's just all Mauritius people but we never met a person that is not just sooo happy and content. The beach itself is also very nice with velvet white sand and Turquoise Water.

An amazing second stay… there will definitely be a 3rd one

We completed another very relaxing stay at the beach comber trou aux biches ( from may 12th to may 23rd). Overall, we were more than satisfied with the experience, (which was even better than the last year’s high standards) and we will return next year for sure. The hotel: Due to availability, we had to book one day in the suite and 10 days in the villa. The check-in was very smooth, facilitated by an excellent Emi, who was very kind and we were upgraded to villa for an extra day, which was amazing. Emi not only took care of all our queries but made sure she called us 3 times during our stay to check if everything was ok. A big change this time was also the people working around the hotel, who were very friendly and kind. A special mention for Avi and Nilesh who shuttled us between the restaurants/ activities and the villa and were always helpful with all the requests and even spent time answering any questions we had. They were a hit with our son Harry. The villa (718) We stayed at the 2 bedroom villa (718) which was Clean and proper as usual, with plenty of space and a nice swimming pool. Nobin the villa manager, made sure we were comfortable and this time ( unlike last time) all restaurants were booked in advance. A special mention also for Protima, who also checked to make sure everything was ok, and when we requested a change in reservation, she made sure the confirmation was sent to us immediately. We had requested the same butler as last time and the hotel had made sure it happened. Rama was as excellent as ever and his kindness was intact. As usual, there was no request that was not attended to swiftly and efficiently. He provided all the advice needed and even made sure that we had guidance in our trip to Port Louis. Breakfasts were delicious and the in-villa barbecue was great with Rama taking care of everything. We will definitely be requesting him for our next trip. The villa was well maintained and cleaned everyday. A special thanks to Jeet who took care of the the turndown service , which was very good. The restaurants Great improvement since the last time in terms of the Indian and the Asian restaurants where the food was really good. The service was also great and at the Indian restaurant, the « guruji » who played the santoor was wonderful and was so kind to let our son play the instrument. The oasis buffet was also good in quality. The Asian and Mediterranean buffets lacked in variety, but the Mauritian and Indian ones were simply amazing . Roshan, who took care of us most nights was efficient and always smiling. Nicky at the pasta and pizza stand was also very friendly and super quick with requests. The oasis bar was very busy and the service was perhaps slightly slow. But the drinks and food were very good. Activities The beach activities were efficiently handled and there was always plenty of place. The weather was particularly good and we enjoyed ourselves. The tennis club was a lot of fun and preeti ( who was in charge of the space) was really excellent. Even on days when the courts were fully booked, as soon as there was a cancellation/ no show she immediately fit us in. All the facilities were very good (gym, tennis mini golf) and we went there almost every day. The spa was very clean and the treatments offered were very relaxing. All in all, this was our second stay and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves . We will certainly return next year .

Beachcomber offers more than just a beautiful hotel. They managed to create the most magical space for the guests to enjoy a relaxing holiday alongside the kindest artisans. Never have I visited a place where everyone is this kind, helpful and genuine. The artisans make it their top priority for you to enjoy your stay. From the cleanliness of the rooms, to the food served in the various restaurants, to the nautical team: everything was perfect. Huge thank you to Kevin for making our stay the most enjoyable, to Angeli for the warmest welcome, to Wendy for the extraordinary massage, to Barlen and Dave for making us so looking forward to get to breakfast at the Caravell, to Dovigue and the nautical team for the funniest water sports experience and Deepak for keeping our place nice and tidy. The most amazing beach resort!! I was taken aback by how beautiful and well-kept the resort was. They have such a great variety of food and there's entertainment every single night. The staff members were extremely friendly and helpful. A special thank you to Roy who took care of my family during the breakfast service. He was really welcoming and assisted us greatly. We really enjoyed talking to him. Thank you to Chef Rishi who prepared excelled food every single day for both the breakfast and dinner buffet. Thank you to the staff of the Blue Ginger restaurant for serving some of the best dishes I have ever had and for being exceptional hosts. My time here was so amazing that I dreaded going back home. We had the opportunity, no, the experience of the 12th until 25th of May 2023, to be a guest at the Trou aux Biches. It was not a normal holiday, but an experience that we have not had in our many travels so far. The reception at this hotel was already extraordinary, very personal and very emphatic. This first impression has solidified its affirmation throughout the stay, also the wonderful food at the buffet. The atmosphere of the hotel and especially the friendliness of the staff had given us the impression that we were special guests; we were able to determine that other guests had this experience as well. Vinesh, Kerry, Neva, Jeff and Dark are particularly noteworthy. Not only did they read our wishes from our eyes, no, they fulfilled our wishes that we did not dare to ask. It certainly won't be our last holiday in this paradise.

We have just returned home from a glorious 9 days at this wonderful resort on the North coast of Mauritius. This was our 2nd visit as we previously visited for a big birthday in 2017 and had such a fantastic time, we decided to return this year. We generally feel tentative returning to the same place as the experience does not always match the first time, but the improvements to the resort, and the excellent service of all the staff, ensured that we weren't disappointed at all. Indeed, everything about this resort is first class. The beach setting is so relaxing, and the way the palm trees, water ways and nature are landscaped around all the rooms, bars and restaurants makes the ambience and atmosphere very pleasingly aesthetic, calm, peaceful and romantic. Wherever you choose to sit and dine, you will either have a view of the sea, or of the water pools that surround you everywhere and at night the subtle lighting enhances the ambience through the clear reflections in the water. The whole design has been well thought out and constructed for your maximum enjoyment. We were here for a rest, and so spent most days on the beach in a very pleasant 26 degree temperature, with the waves lapping onto the shore, watching other people enjoy all the water sports available! But we did visit the capital, Port Louis, and the concierge and taxi service was excellent. A picnic was also provided which we enjoyed at Pamplemousse gardens which is well worth a visit for the intriguing water lilies alone! The food at all the restaurants is of a very high standard and there is something for everyone's taste. The all inclusive package is extensive, including all the 6 restaurants as well as most of the drinks and cocktails on the drinks menu - and we took full advantage of it with the Graham Beck sparkling white being my favourite! If you don't take out the all inclusive however, the Oasis Buffet is far superior to what you usually experience in most hotels. We especially enjoyed the Mauritian evening with a range of local delicacies on offer and cooked in front of you. And they also do French (ou la la the desserts!) and Asian themed nights. Breakfast is served here and in La Caravelle, and is the same in terms of food - everything you could possibly want for breakfast whatever your nationality and tastes, but just a different view so we went there twice! What really makes this holiday so enjoyable however, is the professionalism and service of the staff. They are all so very highly trained and extremely courteous and attentive. Even if you pass one of the gardeners or ground staff, you always get a polite greeting. I apologise for not naming everyone, but please be assured that ALL the staff we interacted with throughout the week did a fantastic job. You all made our holiday very special and I thank you all! We were picked up at the airport by our transfer driver who was very friendly and helpful which was a great start to our holiday. Thank you to Elizabeth for the great job you did welcoming us at reception and giving us a very detailed and yet concise orientation, and thank you to Lionel for also welcoming us and looking after us at our transfer. Thanks to Wendy at the spa for the wonderful facial, and reflexology (part of the all inclusive package) - you made me feel like a million dollars! Mamed and Rajesh looked after us at breakfast in the Oasis buffet and ensured we got a table at our favourite place poolside and overlooking the sea. Thank you both. At other times in Oasis, Kavisen did a good job at looking after us too. At the Beach restaurant we were looked after by Bernadette, Sadeck and Ally and the rest of the team - thank you. Ritesh and Yashneel looked after us at La Caravelle - thank you. On the beach every day Yassin and Dasmuth brought us our rum mixers in the afternoon, and after a few days I only had to ask Dasmuth for 'my usual!' At the main bar, thanks to Anisha and Jusrah for looking after us too. I didn't get your name, and I apologise for that, but thank you to the lady on the duty desk on our last day at breakfast, (17 July) who came to my aid with an umbrella as I was stranded in the main restaurant when a sudden heavy shower came and escorted me back to my table - you got wet for me! I'll never forget that kindness. And then Mamed brought me a towel, as we sat, true Irish fashion finishing our breakfast under the umbrella in the rain! Irish BBQ weather ;) Kishan looked after us and our room so well, and his attention to detail was very impressive and so thank you as well! And last, but not least, Ranjit, who we got to know on our previous trip, at the Deck, and now manager at Oasis, what can I say? You are a true professional and really spoilt us this time with your attention to detail and kindness, and it was so good to meet up with you again after 6 years! We are both very impressed at how this resort operates and how the staff all work together as a team and really seem to enjoy their work, and the management must be commended for that as well. Excellent hotel vibe, friendly and caring staff (i was 8months pregnant during the stay) A really nice experience from arrival to checkout... beautiful architecture, amazing food at the buffet and MAHIYA restaurant was above expection. Room was nice and more than enough for 1 couple. Overall it was a memorable experience. Give us more reasons to back! 😊

Lovely hotel, beach, restaurants - especially Blue Ginger (pan Asian). Friendly and helpful staff throughout the hotel. Food was good in all restaurants, really enjoyed Mauritian night in the buffet. Children loved the Asian night! It would be good to have a few exercise classes: yoga, spinning etc without being charged 1500 rupees.

We had not been away since before covid and so this year we decided to properly blow the budget and have a dream holiday. Kids are 13 and 16 (just finished GCSEs) so it felt like the year to have possibly our last big family holiday. Trou Aux Biches is fabulous. We went all inclusive (do this!) and it didn’t disappoint. The staff were faultless, the food was outstanding. We chartered a boat and swam with a pod of about 40 dolphins, snorkelled through shoals of tropical fish and met giant turtles. Wow, wow, wow. The suite was bigger than the top floor of our own home and the housekeeping was impeccable. Just the best holiday ever. Thank you
