The ladies from the kids club (Ursula, Melissa, Staphanie, Rachel) were brilliant with the kids. Feroz the cleaner was too. Only critism is that the pork, ham etc. should have been kept separate from other foods.

I had an amazing stay at victoria beachcomber,it was my honeymoon and also my birthday,i got a very warm welcoming at the arival from Mr Rishi from guest relations,he's an amazing person very friendly,very helpful a nice guide also he made my stay a memorable one,he made a surprise cake for my birthday which made my birthday more special.I got a very nice service at the restaurants also,the bar,every one is so nice and friendly,overall very good performance,keep it up guys

We had a fabulous stay at Victoria Beachcomber resort, we stayed in the adults only section & loved the fact we had our own pool area, pool bar & restaurant, Morris beef. All the staff were great & very friendly. We did spend a lot of our time in the mornings at the main pool to take part in Aqua Gym & water volleyball etc with the fabulous animation team. A big thank you to Jayson, Fabrice & Ayvind for keeping us entertained day & night. Ravi main pool waiter, Vimal & Ramraj at Victoria for 2 & so many others that I can’t remember all the names. We stayed in an oceanview room in Victoria for 2 & the rooms were stunning with a beautiful sea view & the best sunsets 🌅 I have to say this is a beautiful resort but it is the staff that makes it a wonderful resort that we will definitely be returning to one day. We tried most things from the included motorsports to the spa, the daytime & evening entertainment, all of the restaurants! We booked some excursions from the rep at the hotel & hired a car hire to explore the island for a couple of days & the hotel packed us a picnic to take with us. We highly recommend a stay at this resort, suitable for couples & families too!

The stay was a nice family experience. We had the chance to have Rubesch who made our stay a great one and he was always here to respond to every query. The food is good, however the cocktail at la casa is better than the one in the main restaurant. The room is cosy and clean. Peggy in the shop is very welcoming. Overall a good hotel. I recommend

We had a very positive experience at Victoria for 2. I've previously stayed on at the main section, but the Victoria for 2 is another level of luxury. It's well worth spending a bit extra to have a poolside room. The restaurant staff, barmen and housekeeping are very professional and friendly. 5 star service. Thank you. As an animal lover. There are a handful of stray dogs and cats wondering around the resort (thousands around the whole island). I received mixed comments from the staff whether the dogs are fed or not. I understand it's a difficult balance for the hotel staff and management to please guests who want to feed the animals and those that would prefer for the dogs to not be around. Overall, the dogs do look to be fed, but I'm not sure if this is from guests like me or if the hotel is giving them food. So, with this said, please help out our furry friends with some extra bits of food. It's not their fault that they don't have a warm home with regular meals.

Amazing. Paradise on earth

We got married on the beach at this Hotel. It is paradise on earth and the customer service is unbelievable, they really cannot do enough to ensure you are happy. The family suites are amazing, very spacious with balconies overlooking the beach . We moved to a swim up room for our honeymoon week and this did not disappoint I cannot recommend thus Hotel highly enough and will definitely be returning soon

Holiday at Victoria Beachcomber Mauritius

It's our fifth visit to Victoria Beachcomber and as always we had a very nice time. Staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Rubesch who ensured that our stay remained wonderful with the special attention given as it was our wedding anniversary. Also special thanks to Mandeep, whom we met during dinner and lunch and she provided a great and professional service. Our kids also enjoyed their stay. Hope that Beachcomber Mauritius provides a loyalty programme and looking forward to being enlisted!

The hotel itself is just a living dream. Honestly, arriving at the Victoria Beachcomber I thought it's the most amazing hotel I have ever been too. Staff was nice and the location was just beautiful. I also liked that the hotel offered a variety of activities. The beach and the pool was beautiful as well. Though, I will never want to stay in this hotel again. As an animal lover you'll find out that Mauritius is not paradise for animals. We found a malnourished, injured kitty just screaming and crying in the hotel lobby. Nobody cared and helped us. In the end we ended up adopting her, because she wouldn’t have survived without any help. We are absolutely grateful for her and are happy that we could save her. There are hotels out there in Mauritius who care about animals, work with NGO’s to sterilise them and also feed them. Mauritius is a beautiful island with a lot of kind people. However they have a problem with stray animals. From a good hotel I expect that they don’t look away or even worser get the animals removed as objects which often ends with their death. Adjusting to that problem with something like a food stations (just water bowls or some dry food for strays or working together with some of the NGO’s shouldn’t be a big deal). How about a staff member who looks after the animals and serves as a contact person if someone likes to adopt or help an animal? Once thing I can say for most European cultures is that we love our pets and treat them as family members. If you visit Mauritius, you will be confronted with the stray animal problem sooner or later. A hotel providing at least some kind of care for these animals will be seen more than positive from a lot of people. For a hotel this big it wouldn’t be that expensive to at least care for their strays. Also, it would be a great advertisment. Tourists, especially from Europe, care about things like that on a high emotional level. As beautful as the location and everything was, next time I will choose a pet friendly hotel that takes responsibility in this matter and do care.

Absolutely fantastic place to stay!

We stayed at this hotel earlier this month for our two-week honeymoon. I must say the hotel went above and beyond for us and we had very minimal stuff to complain about. It is probably the best hotel we have ever stayed in. Firstly, we stayed in the 'Victoria for Two' - the rooms were so clean and presented really well. We were welcomed with a bottle of Prosecco, fresh fruit and beautifully laid out towels on the bed with petals. Victoria for Two is perfect for couples who want to relax without the noise of children. It has its own private restaurant, bar, swimming pool and beach. Not to mention that the swimming pool has a swim up bar (which is where we spent most of our time!). There are some particular members of staff who went above and beyond for us, nothing was ever too much to ask. Rak - the supervisor in Morris Beef Restaurant. He always served us quickly in the restaurant. We met some people during our stay and some nights we would eat as a table of 6 - Rak always made sure there was a table of 6 set up for us most evenings. He was always polite and ALWAYS made sure we had a good portion of sides during our meal! Raj - one of the waiters at Nautil Bar. Regardless if we were by the pool or on the beach, if we were without a drink he would always ask if we wanted anything. Always provided us with water without asking for it. A generally nice person and always willing to help. Vimal - the bartender at Nautil bar. Vimal was ACE at our drinks orders. He always knew what we wanted without asking. When we would sit at the pool bar he would always serve us quickly and drinks never took too long to make. Rose - the trainee waitress. She was so down to earth and nothing was ever too much to ask. She is learning quickly and always happy to help. Any - on guest relations. She welcomed us to Victoria and explained everything to us clearly on arrival. Answered all of questions too! Rohan - the waiter working at La Casa. You can pre book a table on the beach for dinner through La Casa. Rohan was our waiter and he did a superb job. He was always so polite and made sure our drinks were topped up at all times. Peerbux - the waiter at Morris Beef. Another waiter who couldn't do enough. He always remembered our food orders and always made sure we had everything we needed. Massage girls at the spa - Absolutely amazing massage. Being 7 weeks pregnant at the time, they offered me the pre natal massage which was targeting the 'tight' parts but avoiding the belly area. My Husband had the be kind to yourself massage which he recommends massively, rates it 10/10. They always took my pregnancy into consideration too. Gopi - another bartender at Nautil bar. He is a trained mixologist and always made up some cocktails for us when we asked. Absolutely amazing! There was only one minor downfall to our stay. The housekeeping team did slack a bit. There were days where our towels and bed sheets weren't changed when we had specifically requested for them to do so. We weren't provided with clean drinking glasses either. After putting in a compliant at the reception, one of the duty managers met with us that evening and apologised profusely. She then ensured that our towels and bed sheets were changed daily. Kristen was the only housekeeper who was excellent! We personally didn't like La Superb - the buffet restaurant. It was too loud and the food wasn't as great. Morris beef is definitely more civilised if that is what you prefer. Food is a lot better too. You get the choice of two menus at Morris Beef, one for La Casa next door and the other Morris Beef. If you are staying in Victoria for Two, Nautil bar serves pastries from 4pm. They are much better than the crepes served in main reception. The fire-pit next to the pool is lovely and relaxing, although as it is winter in Mauritius, the weather was unpredictable so it wasn't lit every night. Tips from us: - Take GOOD mosquito deterrent, we got bitten a lot to the point where I required antibiotics on our return to the UK. - Use the doctor at the infirmary if needed, it is free just for advice. They only charge if they have to give you medication/dressings/treatment. - Take a cardigan for the evenings if staying in their Winter, it does get a bit chilly. - The cocktails are ACE! - Be mindful of the wasps, if you get stung, ask for an onion. We got help immediately when my Husband got stung. One of the duty managers came up to our room with half an onion. Rub the flesh side onto the sting and it will reduce the swelling and take the pain away. - Take water shoes to use in the sea. There are lots of sharp coral, stonefish and sea urchins. - Take the opportunity to swim with dolphins if you can! Something we will probably never be able to do again - Go snorkelling! - Part of the all-inclusive package is free water activities, we did kayaks and the glass bottom boat. The boat was so worth it, we saw so many beautiful fish. Its free so why not? - There are indoor activities to do at the hotel if you're bored or the weather isn't great. Be mindful there is a charge. It's approximately £3 to use the pool table! - If you are on your honeymoon, make sure you book your honeymoon excursion, it's included in your package! We did the boat trip with the BBQ, highly recommend!

Best hotel experience I’ve ever had!!

I’ve never seen such incredible customer service and client relations. My friend and I had a 2-night stay for her bachelorette. The hotel staff were able to accommodate my last minute request for room decorations, champagne and cake for a surprise for my friend. From the moment we got to the hotel, we were welcomed by Rishi, who has been nothing but absolutely wonderful to interact with. He went beyond and helped me to make the surprise as perfect as possible. He ensured my friend and I were all set for the whole duration of the stay, even ensuring other staff would do the same on days he wouldn’t be there. From the room, the food, the entertainment - everything was amazing. But I gotta say, the best part remains the staff. I cannot emphasize enough just how amazing they all are. Interactions were very flowy, they are very friendly to the point where it feels you’re talking to friends you’ve known for a while. I don’t know the names of all them, but Rishi, Guylaine, Any, the bartenders, restaurant managers/heads, every single one of them honestly - super grateful for such exceptional service. You are all incredible! I genuinely think words aren’t enough to describe just how happy my friend and I were with the stay. Thank you for an unforgettable experience! Definitely coming back, and definitely recommend this resort!! :)

We received excellent service throughout our stay. And enjoyed our stay very much. We enjoyed live entertainment in the evenings - and just relaxing by the pool or swimming or snorkeling in the sea. Other than that we just relaxed and red our books.

Amazin Family Holiday at Victoria Beachcomber

So we have arrived home from our family holiday to Victoria Beachcomber Resort & Spa in Mauritius 🇲🇺 and all I can say is WOW. I've experienced Mauritius before as I have stayed at 4 Beachcomber Resorts & Hotels plus visited 3 others so knew my girls would love it but I was also blown away by everything that we experienced. Air Mauritius were excellent on both flights, as were both of our private tranfers. The welcome at our hotel was evident from every member of staff from check in, guest relations, porters, cleaners, bar and restaurant staff, in fact you get the feeling that the staff all enjoy working there and will tell you they feel part of one big family. The food, absolutely amazing, and even our very fussy daughter couldn't find anything to moan about 🤣 Bump loved the kids club, Mummy and Daddy loved it better 😉 Many free land and water sports are available as well as so many sightseeing activities around the island but the swimming with turtles plus the giant tortoises were definitely the match winners with Bump saying the turtles were the most amazing thing she has ever experienced 😀 There is so much more I could write about this amazing island but it would take me hours, so if you do want to find out more then please get in touch, pop me a WhatsApp on 07739 514 691. The best family holiday hotel

Words cannot express the true experience at Victoria. From the time we arrived till we departed, we were treated like royalties. Every staff member went the extra mile to make our holiday, a holiday to remember. Having read some of the reviews on Tripadvisor ,we expected rude staff members, but the reality is completely the opposite. Nothing was to much to ask for. Friendliness was the order of the day. The hotel caters in all your needs and is designed in such a way, that everything is close by and everything can be experienced by just walking a couple of meters. The food in the main restaurant cannot be faulted and everyday we had a different theme and everything was well prepared and presented., and very tasty. We did eat the one night at the sea food restaurant, and can confirm, that the food is very good and on par with any good sea food restaurant. The amenities at the hotel ,caters for everyone. We never experienced anything that can be faulted in any way. Our rooms was very nice and nothing can be faulted. Must ad ,we stayed on the ground floor, which makes it easy to come and go as you want. For the kids, there is ample to do, and the Kids club, makes sure all their activities are catered for. We were not sure prior to going, if you can swim in front of the hotel, in the sea, and can confirm there is ample swimming spots. Victoria gets all our thumbs up for everything. Nothing as previously said, can be faulted.

very nice experience at the hotel.Upgraded to Victoria for 2(adults only) was most welcome as we were celebrating our 29th wedding anniversary. The amazing view from our room was like paradise on earth. The staff was most welcoming, we will definitely come back. We also appreciated the food served at the main restaurant. As an Ovo lacto vegetarian, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality, variety and taste of the food.

We have visited other 'all inclusive" resorts but this is by far the one that lives up to expectation. No skimping, no watered-down drinks and a choice of restaurants. Wide range of good food. Staff, across the board, are exceptionally helpful and go out of their way to ensure a memorable holiday. Well maintained gardens, an amazing pool and clean beaches.

Her level of attentiveness was next to none....this young lady should be promoted effective immediately..........our room attendant ,Ujoodha, again was the most attentive and helpful of people....nothing was a problem and any request was never an issue...........I can truly say that the service at both beachcomber resort we visited were amazing and that the foundation of this is their staff....waiters/waitresses bartenders, cleaner and cooks.....they make the hotels great. Once again Riya and Ujoodha that you for everything .

We’ve have just got home from a lovely 10 day holiday at the Victoria Beach Comber resort. It is a wonderful hotel with attentive staff. The beach is lovely and the pool is very family friendly and safe. The all inclusive water sports are very easy to book and the staff are very helpful. In terms of the all inclusive there was no expense served. The food was plentiful and the drinks we well made and thanks to tireless efforts of the waiters and waitresses, they were not in short supply. We would like to thank a number of staff members who excelled in their service and made our holiday and wonderful experience. Salim who keep our room spotless and never seemed to go home ? Deepak who was a fantastic waiter and really made us feel at home. Ryia who never seems to stop smiling and it is worth going to Victoria just to see her. Ella and Jamillia who were excellent bar staff And finally Chef Akshay, our son has a severe allergy to peanuts and we are never without medication. He ensured that our son had completely separately cooked meals every evening and that this food was delicious and safe. It was a real weight taken off our minds to know someone was taking personal responsibility and we will be eternally grateful for his professionalism and kindness. I would not hesitate to recommend the hotel as a place to stay.

Fabulous Holiday

Just returned from 9 nights at the Victoria Beachcomber Hotel. Having been to hotels around the world including the West Indies, UAE, Mexico and Europe this hotel was one of the best. The service and warm welcome everyone gave us was amazing. The food was really tasty especially at the Italian restaurant La Casa. The hotel and beach are super clean. My family helped the hotel on Ocean day and all the staff made us feel super special. They informed us about how the Mauritian people are trying to help global warming and what they are doing to protect the corals and environment they live in. Higher management even helped out on that day which I thought was brilliant. I could keep writing but it would be all great comments. Would definitely return back. Thanks for a great experience.

Had a wonderful family vacation at Victoria over June. We frequent various resorts on the island each year & we have to say that the service of the staff is excellent here - all are friendly & helpful. Morning breakfasts were great with Nilesh making us feel so at home, and our room was always spotless thanks to Zubeir. We enjoyed LaCasa and L'Horizon dining but the best part of this entire resort is the beach. It is wonderful and the swimming is fantastic! The only complaint is the lack of ablution facilities around the pool area and along the beach. Literally 2 bathrooms just off reception servicing a resort that can occupy 800 guests is a bit unhygienic and an oversight. Apparently Beachcomber may look at rectifying, and I hope this is true. We will definitely come back here, especially out of season, as it was lovely. For people with kids, I cam see this being heaven in season as there is so much to do.

It is not our 1st stay at Le Victoria. Back again after some year and it was amazing. The reservation of our room through the Front Office team was very easy. Thank you to Arielle and Team for assisting us and providing a nice welcoming. The group floor room with the 2 kids was suitable for us. The room boy was efficient and always bring a special touch to his room cleaning. The food (Buffet and A-la-carte) restaurant is excellent. Bravo to the Chef! The F&B Team service very nice. Beach service and beach boy Great. After Dinner, we enjoyed the bar and entertainment with beautiful dance group. Christophe did one dive with the Diving School and he discover the north part of the Island. We are looking forward to seeing you soon. Keep it up! A Very Special Family Holiday

Had the most incredible family holiday, a very special place!!! Really felt like a home away from home where everything was thought of to make our stay even more memorable. Staff were so lovely, Jordan made some great morning cappuccinos, loved the gym classes with Ayvind and DPak (to compensate for all the delish food and wine) Very relaxing, peaceful massages by Muholee and Cathy. We unfortunately experienced a medial issue and made use of the nurse on site who was extremely professional and provided the best care and advice. The problem was more serious than we thought and because the nurse was so cautious, it meant that problem was caught early and did not escalate beyond one night's stay at the clinic. In all the rush, I did not catch his name but would really like to thank him for all he did. Just one note on the check in, it cannot be done without the voucher which I had somehow misplaced - I feel there should be a back up here.

We booked and paid to stay in the adult section. Room was great but service very bad. We asked them to refill the shower gel twice to get it done. Used glass was just rinsed in the basin and turn upside down to dry! Had to keep asking for coffee and sugar sachets restock. Room was not cleaned well. When we left for breakfast we put the "please clean the room sign" on the door and when we returned after lunch the had just started cleaning. They knocked on the door at 21h15 one night to do the bed turndown???? The service in the actual restaurants was great however service in the buffet area was shocking to say the least. You arrive and the tables haven't been cleared and reset and you sit with the dirty plates on your table for ages. Trying to get drinks is virtually impossible. It seems that if you have paid an all in package they are going to delay the drinks service to ensure you are very limited to drinks during meals. Quality and selection was not great at all! Staff are generally unfriendly. Coffee machines only on for breakfast but turned off for lunch and dinner. Staff at reception and service desk fantastic. With all the other highly rated options available will definitely not revisit.

I’ve never visited somewhere that felt more like paradise. We stayed in the Victoria for 2 section (adults only all inclusive). The room and the views out the room were incredible. Our lovely cleaner Kishan not only kept the room beautiful but was so friendly and helpful throughout our whole stay. He greeted us by our names when he saw us showing how above and beyond he went. All staff in the resort were very friendly, attentive and all appeared to really enjoy their job which showed in their service. Food and drink was incredible and great variety of restaurants to eat for our meals. The beach was beautiful with plenty of water sports to try free of change. We loved every minute of it and recommend others to visit.

I was on a fully inclusive package and my airport transfer was not honoured. I had to pay AUD100 for a taxi because they refused my transfer. Their manual systems are a large part of the problem. The staff, including the duty manager, the buffet restaurant waiters and lounge staff were impolite and to the point rude.The resort needs upgrading and/or maintenance. For example, Leaks in the rooms and old towels.

I really enjoyed my stay to Victoria Hotel.Arriving to the hotel we were upgaded to a suite at no extra charge! The rooom was clean n spacious.Staffs were very polite and helpful especially Mr Sanjeeva who was made our stay even more memorable.His kindness says it all🤗 Thank you for making us feel home. Will definetely come back.

Great views from spacious balcony. Staff generally very good. However as all inclusive struggled for consistent service often slow to serve. Choice 5 restaurants but lacked choice or change. So if you did not like some options very limited. Premium for certain dishes seemed high. Required late check out quite unhelpful and eventually charged £87 to retain room for 5 hrs .Although initially told room was already booked to another guest. Overall it was a good stay but needs to improve in certain areas

We were here for a week. You certainly don't need to leave the resort. It has its own beach and swimming pool. It's disadvantage is that if you wanted to leave it's a 20 minute drive in a taxi to the city. The food in the self serve is quite good but if you don't like fish it's limited. The Italian is excellent. We ate in it every lunchtime. If you want to go to one of the specialist restaurants for your evening meal you need to book it on the day you arrive or you'll be disappointed. The one thing we didn't like was how the supervisors/managers spoke to their staff. They certainly don't encourage their staff but the staff still are very pleasant and helpful

Definetly one of the best trips I've been in. Stayed for two weeks in the same hotel. We rented a car for a week and the other week was spent in the hotel. Lots of activities, never felt boring. Like everyone is mentioning the staff was incredibly nice and humorous. Had longer talks with some of them. The vibes in the hotel were either way really nice through the stay. Regards from Finland!

Amazing Wedding and Honeymoon

We stayed here for 14 nights for our wedding. The wedding was amazing and so well planned, everything was sorted for us taking the stress of planning away from us. A special mention to our wedding planner Emilie, she was amazing and went above and beyond to make everything perfect. Nothing was too much trouble, I can't praise her enough. The hotel is lovely as was our big spacious family room we received, which had the most amazing view of the beach. The staff are all very nice and helpful, they go above and beyond and do all they can to make your stay magical. The only slight downside we struggled with at the hotel, was for the evening meals there is not much food variety to accommodate young children. Even the drinks, we was getting for our toddler, the kids cocktail as it was really the only non fizzy drink on offer and this came in a adult size cocktail glass so was really hard for a 3 year old to drink from. If there were better options for the kids on the food and drink side, my review would be 5 stars. I really can't fault the hotel in any other area. The Italian restaurant was a personal favourite out of all the restaurants. Overall it was an amazing wedding in an amazing location at a great hotel. I thank you for making such special memories for us as a family.

What you should know before you book

It is difficult to know where to begin as there were several issues. However I first want to say that the staff were friendly and helpful and I apportion no blame for the misgivings to them. The room: We had a top floor room not in the VIP section. One double bed and a pull out trundle bed. The matress was filthy and as my wife and I prefer due to our age to sleep in seperate beds I slept on the sofa for 12 nights. Now considering this hotel cost around £300 a night all inclusive I was apalled. With Riu hotels we always had twin beds not a bed and a sofa. The towels which we put in the bath were hung back up on the rack obviously damp form being used in the morning. 7.15pm when we are getting ready for dinner there is a knock at the door for towel change, bear in mind it is dark at 6pm so if you go to dinner at 7 you either miss the towel change and have to use what was damp from the morning. Apart from this the dresser paint work was peeling off. Remember £330 a night not £30 very expensive. Buffet: If your into curry and fish then you will be OK. For us curry does like me and my wife is not a fish lover. So the selection was extremely limited and to be honest I dont need to spend £300 a night to eat pizza and bread. The head chef was extremely helpful when we complained and offered to make us contemprary western food which I will commend them for that. The Pool: Yes at last something good to say. It is huge and great to swim and as a regular swimmer I loved my 7am in the pool to myself. The drinks: On the beach limited. At dinner very slow to bring to the table. The beach: It is long and sandy, but be aware that Mauritius must have suffered coral degradation and there is lots of bit of coral on the beach so I strongly advise take a pair of water shoes or be careful. My words to the head company management: You could have a much better hotel if you paid more attention to detail. I have travelled all over the world and stayed in better and worse, however considering the extremely high cost I certainly could not rate or recommend your hotels when there are better and cheaper alternatives. Your choice it is your business but on our experience we would not consider coming back

We stayed at the Victoria for our honeymoon and it was a great experience! The hotel is beautiful, the “Victoria for 2” part is great, there are 4 restaurants and the food and service are perfect! You eat and drink a lot, and the relax is granted. I suggest you try the massage in the spa, so good. We came as a group of 3 families. It has been the most magical holiday at Victoria and I couldn't recommend it more. This was our first time and we're already planning the next trip! This was our first visit to Mauritius and we really enjoyed the hotel and its facilities. Our room was great and Salim looked after us really well with changes of towels etc. The beach and availability of seats was really good and whilst the pool was quite busy you could get sat there as well if you wished. The main restaurant in my opinion couldn’t be faulted and we really enjoyed the food. Bar and entertainment in the evenings was really good though very noisy if you weren’t staying out and looking for an early night (old timer alert!). Overall very good and would recommend

We stayed at Le Victoria in a Deluxe Family Room on the ground floor. The room was very spacious and perfect for our family of 4 (our kids are 6 and 7). The room is definitely in need of a revamp but it was very comfortable. The ground floor is perfect, as it allows the kids to exit directly to the lawn area as the porch door operates with a key card as well- we really loved this feature! We were on the All-Inclusive package, which I highly recommend. The Buffet was great and there is a huge variety of different dishes to choose from. The staff at the kids club are absolutely amazing and our daughter loved the activities that they offered. Compared to our previous stays at Le Victoria, we found the staff were not as friendly as on our previous visits and it was at times difficult to get service at the restaurant. That, combined with the slightly dilapidated state of the room decreased my rating from 5 to four stars.

Enjoyed the atmosphere but the hotel is a bit dated. I felt the food was limited. The all inclusive option is different compared to our previous experiences. The seafood restaurant was over rated. We also found that the drinks were watered down. Overall the hotel was ok but not as good as other beachcomber hotels we stayed at.

Took our two adult children and partners - stayed in the Victoria for 2 side. What a great experience! (one even got engaged there...) Everything worked, weather warm (26 degrees), water coolish but certainly swimmable, far more pleasant than back at home (it was snowing back in Johannesburg...). Service from the housing keeping team (Kishen), the super busy beach barman (Rigie) and the staff in the Morris Beef restaurant (reserved for the Vic for 2 residents) was superb! Issues - not many. The irrigation water is really smelly...at 2am not pleasant! Menu in the Morris Beef doesn't change so plan to eat at the main restaurant on odd days - were there is a wider variety to eat - actually too wide!! To eat at the other restaurants you need to book - do that as soon as you can as they are always booked out. Do the same for the snorkelling etc as you may be disappointed if you don't book - although the trick is to wait around as the boats are about to leave - someone always fails to pitch up. We rented scooters and went up to some of the other Beachcomer resorts that you can interoperate with. Well worth it. A basic SA license is all that is needed - if you SA that is. Also plan a catamaran trip to the northern island - amazing - waves can be quite big so don't do if you get seasick...book at the tour operator in hotel. We did full board - all inclusive - if you plan to have a few drinks this is essential. Only downer is that the Air Mauritius flight in from SA comes in quite late and leaves really early - hotel pick up is at 5;55am. But they do fly a new Airbus 350 - very quiet and comfortable. Hotel by the way opened up a small breakfast for us at 5am - really thoughtful!

They were slow, had no charm, and were not the standard we’d expect at this level of hotel. Some of the activities listed weren’t available, such as the nightclub. We also stayed at Beachcomber Canonnier which was a far more relaxed, friendly atmosphere.

We had a wonderful, memorable time at the Victoria Beachcomber Resort at Pointe aux Piments. Every part of the hotel is bright, fresh, clean, luxurious and inviting. The grounds are beautiful, impressive, clean and kept to the highest standard. The enormous swimming pool was a wonderful piece of beauty and luxury, and a pleasure to use as it was cleaned very well every day. The long white sandy beach was kept clean and natural but at the same time, clean and safe. The Restaurants were a high standard, with a very wide choice of dishes, snack, drinks and desserts. Everything was delicious and cooked and served to such a professional standard. The sous chefs, Mike and Mr Akshay bent over backwards to accommodate our daughter who has a dairy allergy. They ensured that fresh, delicious desserts were prepared for her every single day. Even if we ate at a different restaurant on the hotel grounds, we simply had to inform the chef a few hours in advance, and the dessert would be served for our daughter. It was an honour and pleasure for her to receive such special care. Our family suite was always kept clean and equipped to the highest standard by our wonderful Room Attendant, Mr Vinesh. He was kind, friendly, helpful, respectful and courteous, always making sure our mini bar and fridge was well stocked and that we had enough of our favourite Mauritian tea. The water sports and activities were fun and varied. We enjoyed our regular kayaking session just before sunset. Every single member of staff, regardless of seniority or location were always smiling, friendly, caring, helpful, courteous, respectful, approachable and patient. We were there for 3 wonderful weeks and enjoyed the all inclusive package. Mr Ravi the pool waiter was so kind, courteous, hardworking, and professional. Mr Baby one of the senior staff was always ready to help, chat and make us feel welcome and at home. There is nothing negative to say about the hotel. We were extremely happy with it and in fact it exceeded our expectations. We will remember our time at this hotel with wonderful memories of fun, relaxation, luxury and joy. Thank you to all of you. Fantastic hotel, great location, great staff & service, shame about the late night music every night

We are currently staying to the Victoria beachcombers in a family room. Everything has been on point. The buffet is great for food. The restaurants gets booked up days in advance so get to the reservation desk and book several days in advance. It’s Tuesday and the Italian is booked up until Saturday already. All the staff are attentive and super friendly making you feel very welcomed. Snorkelling from beach is great and we saw lion fish as well as many other native reef fish. The only negative point I would highlight is the music in the evenings which goes on until 11pm every night. Anyone with a room in close proximity to the main section of the hotel will not fail to hear the music as the doors and windows in the rooms don’t block much sound out. We have teenage kids so it’s not that bad but with excursions booked for many mornings at 7:30am it doesn’t make getting an early night an option. If you are coming with smaller kids it might be worth planning on asking in advance for a room away from the front and centre of the hotel. I might be getting old too soon but paying as much as we have I didn’t expect to be listening to music until 11pm without any choice. Again the experience so far has been amazing, just tainted.

I have been to a lot of hotels in Mauritius, but Victoria beachcomber is the best. We got the swim up room which was perfect for couples without children. It is a part of the hotel for adult only which is a plus. The food was delicious with lot of choice and different theme buffet every night. The dinner a la carte at the seafood restaurant was delicious. The barman at nautil cafe was very professional and friendly. In the afternoon we got donuts( best i've eaten) to go along with our drinks. The waiters and everyone working at the hotel have a smile on their face. It was very pleasant. We sure will be back again

One of the best hotels in the world and of course the best in Mauritius. Such a beautiful resort with mesmerizing views. I agree that it is not always about the location and infrastructure. The main factor that really made our holidays memorable was the friendly and caring approach of the staff of Victoria Hotel. I would like to mention Mr. Ajay Tacouri from finance department and Mr Anil Chayetun who is the House Keeping Manager. These two gentlemen were always available to go an extra mile, just to make sure we are having the best holidays ever. The food was delicious, lot of varieties at the buffet, staffs always have a smile on their face which shows the passion for their job and of course hard work of the administration. I was there on the 18th of March 2023, stayed for 2 nights. I noticed not a single dish was repeated. Everything was fresh and new on the menu. The reason I will surely book Victoria Hotel for my next vacation is because of the heart touching welcome and excellent service provided by Mr Ajay Tacouri and Anil Chayetun. Beachcomber group should be proud of such employees. See you soon 

Had a wonderful experience in Mauritius with my wife and the people, hotel and weather were fantastic. We could not have asked for more. We stayed in the Victoria for 2 swim up rooms (409) in the adult only part of the resort. It was peaceful yet sociable. The rooms were beautifully decorated and room service was excellent. It did help having the mini bar restocked daily. Restaurants and staff were fantastic. We would like to mention Rak, Brayen, Melissa, Peerbux, Rivano and Rakesh for all they did to make our stay five star. Also all staff at the concierge were extremely helpful. We found being gluten free in the resort very challenging. Staff would recommend a dish one night which I would order and then inform me the next night that it contained gluten. The buffet had no options for gluten free but when we approached staff they would offer pizza or pasta. This was a shame seeing all the delicious food on offer and not being able to eat it. We stayed away from the buffet after trying the Asian themed night and a lunch. I would have loved to have seen a pre made gluten free menu that linked to the themed buffet nights or dishes marked gluten free on all menus to avoid confusion. We went on trips on the catamaran Splashing East tour, Wild south trip with our guide Dave from Mautourco - who was extremely knowledgeable and fantastic at his job and finally, Pat from the speedboat ‘Don’t Panic’, what a great trip. Thank you for a memorable trip and we hope to see you next year.

What a fantastic place to stay. We travelled with our 16 year old son and from the moment we arrived nothing was too much trouble. All the staff provide such a warm friendly Mauritian welcome😊. We stayed on an all inclusive basis for 10 nights and would highly recommend. The food was delicious with rotating themes, plus you can eat at the a la carte restaurants at no additional charge (and as many times as you want!). Then you have all sorts of water sports included too - we did a snorkelling trip, kayaking, paddle boarding and water skiing all for FREE!! The hotel facilities are excellent and the beach is beautiful- and despite the hotel being pretty full there was always plenty of space to relax and sunbathe. We did 2 trips - 1 organised by Maurtourco to the sugar museum and Port Louis - great to get an understanding of the islands history and to see parts of the capital city. The other we organised with Captain Ravi and his son Akash on the beach for a boat trip to see dolphins and turtles. Fantastic - and much better value than going on an ‘organised trip’. Again would highly recommend. Only remaining tip would be to bring your own snorkelling mask and plenty of suntan lotion - there is shop in the hotel where you can buy them but it is v v v expensive - and that is literally the only ‘bad’ thing I can say about our entire stay! A huge thank you to all the hotel staff for making this one of our top holidays ever !

This has been our first family summer holiday outside of the UK and we have not been disappointed. First of all the staff go out of their way to make you feel very welcomed. Nothing ever seems too much trouble from the moment we stepped off the private transfer from the airport over the welcome has been amazing. For anything other than the buffet book as soon as you can. We had to book 5 days in advance to get into the Italian. However the buffet food is more than enough with plenty of variety and food cooked in front of you so you know it’s fresh. The dress code for the buffet seems to be wear what you like especially breakfast and lunch when most people are in beachwear. There is live entertainment every night which can be loud if you are expecting an early night before 11pm and are close to the bar. Rooms to the left of the bar if you are facing the sea are more affected as we changed rooms for a quieter night and to the right seems much quieter. The water sports available free of charge are great and snorkelling from the beach we saw lion fish which was amazing. We knew in advance about stonefish and there are signs dotted around warning you so paddle without foot protection at your own risk. We also saw a textile cone shell in the shallow water in front of the hotel which are venomous - Google them as we were warned about them by the dive school as well. Our boys completed their padi open water with diving world located on the beach and we also completed dives with them and loved it. The dive masters and instructors make you feel at ease and safe especially as we hadn’t dived for 20+ years. Highly recommend the One Love speed boat tour and the hike at 7 water falls all sorted out by Michel from mauritours in the hotel. Again book early. You can get 5000 Mauritian rupees out at the hotel but that’s once for your room for the duration of your trip so do bring cash for tips with you. Tipping is obviously at your discretion but is greatly received when given. The massage I had at the spa for a stiff neck was incredible. Unlike anything I have had before and other guests waiting in reception spoke highly of the treatments they had received as well. Again the staff at the hotel from the front of house to the guys working hard to clean the rooms are so welcoming it helped make the holiday a holiday to remember.

We visited Victoria Beachcomber as a family of 4. It was our first all-inclusive and with two growing and always-hungry teenagers, it lived up to our expectations. The resort was great, the beach was awesome, there was so many activities and the staff had a strong "everything is possible" attitude. We took full advantage of the spa and I'm very thankful to Madhvi whose holistic approach certainly put me on the right path to focusing more on self care 🙏 The only reason is gave a 4 star and not a 5 is because, although always delicious, the food was a little samey across the three on-site restaurants.
