Good family holiday resort

We had very good stay at long beach resort, the property is very beautiful and managed well with trained and friendly staff, there were variety of food options from different restaurants and the beach is really good to enjoy with kids.

Prior to my arrival we had an unfortunate incident so I emailed the hotel and I got feedback from Shirley the sales manager who reassured me that everything will be taken care of.We arrived on Tuesday afternoon by a friendly gentleman by the name of Rajesh at the front desk.They upgraded our room which had the most stunning Seaview of Long Beach.The hotel supplied my husband with a wheelchair which was so helpful for me because I didn't have to take one from home.The 9 Porters that were always ready to assist me and my husband with the golf cart from my room to the restaurants,Pool are,Gym and the stunning property with the most beautiful garden.Mr John,Ajay ,Vijay,Evans ,Melon,Ravi,Kamlesh and Vishal I will never forget your hospitality. I must also thank the 2 cleaning staff that did my room morning and at night Akhi and Avi.I am Celiac and have lots of food allergies but I must say that all the chefs made special meals for me.Chef Jin at Tides the food was superb and very delicious.I was very skeptical to try Chopstix but Shirley told me please have 1 night there and we did it on our last evening but I must say that it was the best meal that I had ever eaten in Gluten Free.Chef Ritesh you really outdone yourself wish I had eaten more dessertWe had excellent service at Sapori everyday at breakfast Marie Noel ,Natalie,Yushra Singh im going to miss all of you.Long Beach you gave me excellent Service and I would recommend it to anyone on there visit to Mauritius.

Fantastic hotel with access to some of the finest golf courses on Mauritius

We visited in December with our 3 lads aged 20, 18 and 15 on an all inclusive basis. We stayed in 2 adjoining suites accessed through a single door but each suite independent of each other. Suites had recently been renovated and had lovely big balconies overlooking palm trees and with sea views. All of the restaurants were fabulous as were the bars and cocktails. Great water sports facilities too and really loved the Adults only pool. There is a fabulous spa which does excellent treatments - we were regulars there. The real added value though was the unlimited access to golf which staying at this hotel provided. We could access (with complimentary transport) both Ile aux Cerfs Golf Club (an 18 hole Bernhardt Langer designed golf course on a small island on the East Coast of Mauritius accessed by boat) as well as the Anahita Golf Course (an 18 hole oceanfront golf course designed by Ernie Els again on the East Coast). As we were on an all inclusive basis we got complimentary lunch at Ile aux Cerfs. Lunches at the Ile aux Cerfs and Anahita club houses were great. Would highly recommend to golf lovers with families. It was our son’s 18th Birthday whilst we were there and Morna Beethelot went out of her way to get balloons etc, cake and ensure we had a lovely table decorated at our chosen restaurant. Our housekeeping staff for the rooms were also amazing too and so friendly. All in all a fantastic holiday - our teen lads loved it - plenty of beach volleyball for socialising with other teens and making friends. Would recommend.

I had a great time here ,i would definitely come back next time,the service is excellent ,the staff are great,friendly,helpful and always smiling.the room is perfect and well clean.the Beach boy Daryl always here for service even in the rain...the sports center team made our day memorable.we did alot of activities and they were always here to entertain us( Jeff the lifeguard, Astrid, shawn,gregory and there another lifeguard a dont remember his name ) big thanks to guys,you're doing a great job...hope to see you again Lovely hotel and teams

From the first day we had problems, in the evening we had to change the room because next to where we were staying there was a building that made a lot of noise (the baby who was sleeping at lunch had no chance to close an eye due to the noise)!! after a few days I realized that the breakfast was exactly the same every day and you had nowhere to choose, nothing different!! the food in the evening didn't impress me at all, the bar in the evening was for extra money, although we had all inclusive! there was no entertainment for children AT ALL, the beach was very beautiful and the rooms clean, but old! And 2 days before departure, my oldest child got sick from the water in the pool, I think he got some bacteria (the water didn't smell of any disinfecting substance),

Had a lovely time at Long Beach Hotel to celebrate my birthday. Staff friendly and helpful overall. Room was clean, spacious and with adequate amenities. Pool is nice and clean, water activities were great including the glass bottom boat. This hotel is family friendly.

We had a wonderful time at Long Beach. The hotel is very well decorated and has a beautiful garden. The food is really good, with lots of varieties. The kids enjoyed the pool and also the beach is suitable for the young ones to swim. The real value of this place is in the people who work there. We were always welcomed with a smile and a chat. In particular Sarah, she was very attentive and kind to us!

The resort was wonderful with great service and lots of activities to keep us busy! The view is amazing and rooms very good. Ravi the head chef was very helpful and served us early breakfast as we had to leave for the airport. Highly recommend it to others.

This hotel is stunning. We went all inclusive and was so happy with the many different options available. As vegetarians we often don't have as many options when we go on holiday. However, this hotel had many really delicious dishes that we was very impressed with. The choice was different every day. Our fav restaurant was Chopsticks which is a Chinese. It is run by a lovely man called Raj who grew up in the UK. He was very welcoming and went above and beyond to make our experience as relaxed as possible (with a 3 month old baby) We also loved the italian which had lasagne and mushroom risotto - which were both very nice. Each morning at breakfast we was greeted by a lovely lady called Jenny who would always make the best soy milk iced coffees! (No one else's tasted as good as the ones she made) She was super friendly and very sweet with our baby. The hotel has a stunning infinity pool, which we didn't get to use as it's for adults only. The main pool is HUGE! really stunning and there were plenty of families with children enjoying it. The only negative was that we had lots of ants in our room which all started crawling inside my breast feeding pump. This was very upsetting as these items need to be super clean at all times. We complained and then we moved rooms - which ended up being nicer as it was a pool access room. Most of the staff were super friendly and helpful, but we felt the front of house staff could be better. It would be nice to show a bit more assertiveness and empathy when issues are raised about rooms, such as ants. They have quite a bit of a relaxed approach and took their time with finding us a new room. We had to stay another night with a room full of ants before moving. There are quite a few dogs roaming round the hotel, but they don't cause any harm and just leave you alone. I am personally a dog lover so I didn't have any issues with this. I highly recommend getting some treatments at the spa! It was so wonderful to get a little "me" time. I had a relaxing massage and pedicure- which was all done to a high standard. The staff are very friendly and professional. I would most definitely stay again, in a few years when my baby is a bit older so we can enjoy more of the facilities at the hotel. Amazing service, clean resort & good food

My husband and I booked long beach for our honeymoon and had an amazing time. The rooms and resort are all spotless clean. Pool and beach chairs are comfortable and there’s always enough. Every beach & pool hut had a service button and the drinks were always good! The spa treatments are phenomenal and customer service is top notch. Food choices are vast and all tasty plus they cater to all kinds of allergies /food sensitivities. Specifically Samia, a waitress at the main 3 restaurants. We were lucky enough to meet her on day 1 of our trip and everyday after that she was always a bubbly welcome face. For our final breakfast at the resort she set up a beautiful table display with fresh flowers and petals. She was a real gem, the cherry on top of a great trip.

First there is a lack of staff. The room are not up to match a 5 star. We order room pool view and they gave us beach front saying it was an upgrade without even asking if we wanted an upgrade. The beach front was far from the restaurant and we had to walk a lot to get there with two children under 3. It was more tiring and we were not able to enjoy. The sun kid is not fun for little kids at all. There were no toothbrushes in the room. This hotel need a big renovation.

Even if you go outside the rainy season , rain could show . The climate there changes fast , si we can’t be mad at nature . The hotel is pretty good . One hour away from the airport . (Scenery along the way , on the road , is so beautiful and green ). Staff is very very friendly, always asking you how u are or if you need anything . Somewhere it said that rooms are cleaned every 2 days , but ours was cleaned every single day . There are some renovations that could be done around the bath tub but overall the rooms are good , comfy bed , 2 sinks , clean , ac working perfectly fine. Tap water is not good for drinking , fine for brushing teeth but still I used bottled one for that. If you go for more than a week you will get bored with the food in general . There isn’t that much variety, but for 6-7 nights stay it’s good . The asian restaurant Chopsticks is 10/10. The burgers at Tides as well . The Japanese one , Hasu, is not included in the all inclusive , but it’s not that expensive anyway . It’s a little annoying that for dinner in the other restaurants ( except the main one ) a reservation is required a day before minimum but they are not that big so it makes sense to have a reservation. Every night for dinner in the main restaurant there is a different kind of buffet ( the asian and middle eastern one were soo delicious) . Couple of things from the menu are additional supplement even if you are on AI . ( some cocktails and desserts and the lobster) . Sapori , italian res , is also very delicious but not that many choices , at least for me . The beach is okay , for me it didn’t bring that exotic vibe , but I was comparing it to Maldives so it was my mistake in the expectations. Ocean wasn’t very clean from seaweed in general, but the staff was cleaning every morning. The pool area brings you a good tropical vibe . Some evenings there are people selling some souvenirs at the hotel . Spa is great. Do book a massage or facial treatment. At the bar every night there is some live music or some kind of performance. Very nice atmosphere. Trips and excursions are expensive, so the better option is to rent a car (€50 per day or €65 if you take the full insurance which is recommended) . The driving is like in the UK . An hour away from the hotel is the capital Port Louise which wasn’t worthy in general but still has ti be seen since you have spend time going to Mauritius , near it are the Botanical gardens , very pretty , the Vanille nature park where you can feed giant tortoises and crocodiles, the Chamarel nature park with colorful formations , and the best of all Casela safari park where you can interact with cheetahs and walk with lions , feed giraffes . No animal is sedated in a way . It’s not cheap , but def worthed !

Lovely resort with only one problem.

We stayed for six days in May, 2023. We had 3 days of sunshine and 3 days of rain. The resort is very large with lots of activities to suit all ages. There are 5 restaurants, and we ate at all of them and enjoyed each one. The pools are great. The main one is for all, whilst there is an adults only pool. There is also a lap pool at the Gym And Spa area. The staff were wonderful. Couldn't do enough for us The only downside for us was the number of stairs involved getting from our rooms to the pools, bars, beach and restaurants. We are elderly and became exhausted getting from place to place. We noticed many Mum's struggling with strollers/pushers etc. it required two people to carry the child and stroller up and down to the stairs from pool to upper level.

Good food and kid friendly zone... Sun Kids Club is very clean and friendly environment. Transport team members very punctual and professional. The waiters at Le Marche did a wonderful job by providing yummy foods.

I was in the resort with my family from the 27th of May 2023, our nightmare started right from the time we arrived in the welcoming area. After travelling for 14hrs with little children, The lady who checked us in was very rude, she lacked empathy and could not even hide her unprofessional attitude. She insisted it will take 4 whole hours to get our rooms ready and there is nothing she can do, she said we can just go and play around until it is ready. The children were exhausted and hungry. After waiting long hours we were finally given our rooms, we walked into a family connecting room with a very terrible smell. I had to spray my perfume everywhere to ease the smell. Later that evening, I heard my children screaming and running around in their room, myself and my husband rushed to them and found their whole bed taken over by cockroaches, ants and bugs. I was scared to my bones. I called the house keeping team, who came and sprayed insecticides, he then left us with a left over insecticide, and confirmed a pest controller will come over. A pest controller never came for 2 days. Despite booking a family connecting room, we all ended up squeezing into one bed for 3 nights. Very sad. By the 3rd night at around 9pm we noticed the entire rooms were heavily invaded by bugs and became very unbearable. I called the house keepers again, he came and spray insecticide again, I made a video of the rooms and bugs running around, at this point I requested to speak with the supervisor. I requested to be moved from that room. The supervisor came and said, they have a room for us but they cannot get the room ready until the next morning 🥺 which means we have to sleep like that again for that night. At that point I got so upset and cried. My children were crying that they want to go back to London our home. I had to report the issue to Emirates Holidays because we booked the trip through them. They took the matter up with the hotel management. On the 4th day we were given a different room, hmm breath of fresh air, the room had an amazing smell from when we entered, however, a big surprise was waiting for us, as we pulled the children’s duvet out from under the mattresses where they were tucked in, behold bugs and ants all tucked into the duvets. My husband moved the beds to see what was under, it was piles and piles of rubbish and dead insects that the cleaners had swept under the bed or they never even cleaned or dust them out. Very lazy cleaners. I had to personally take the duvets out in the garden and dusted them all out. I contacted Emirates again, Emirates contacted Mr Christian. Ok on the 4th night, the hotel management came to our room to apologise. I showed them the videos. As a goodwill gesture they upgraded us from half board to full board, we were told including drinks. We were however unable to enjoy the full board benefits for multiple reasons, firstly, we only had 2 nights left there, secondly, terrible miscommunication amongst staffs who insisted we pay for our drinks as it’s not included in full board. I was even too exhausted to argue with them at that point. I was simply counting down by the hours to go back home. The management blamed the bugs issue on the rains or wet weather however, running a “5 star” hotel, you should be very ready for any season. The rooms definitely needs major renovations. The cleaners should be regularly supervised to ensure they are not doing lazy jobs. Staffs should be briefed clearly on what is included in your services. I’m one day, I heard 5 different advice from your staffs on one question I had. They all gave me different answers. How about the birds and flies chasing lodgers around the dinning area, that was just a nightmare. We had to go eat in town twice just so the children can enjoy their meals without flies. Sapori dinning area, you are pouring out breakfast cereal and you can see a sick bird grabbing and eating cereal from the same table. Having said all the above, I have to acknowledge the service of the kitchen and dinning hall staffs at Sapori, the chefs were amazing with my son that suffers from acute asthma and multiple allergies. I wish I could mention all their names but I can remember all. Sonam was so friendly and helpful and all the dinner and breakfast staffs. They were all amazing. Please hug the chefs for me, the breakfast chefs provided warm oat milk for my son every morning. Thank you for helping us. My children still scream randomly believing something is crawling on their skin, they are probably traumatised from all the bugs they had to deal with for 6nights. I totally agree with the reviews which states this hotel is clearly and definitely overrated. I do not agree with its 5 star rating. The management have a lot of work to do, to actually justify the 5 star rating. Mauritians were amazing and friendly. I love the market , Flacq and Port Louis. The beach is beautiful. Evening live bands at the lounge was amazing too.

Me and my spouse chose this destination and resort to celebrate my birthday and stayed for 10 days, this’s been such a nice experience and such a good choice where to stay for this special occasion….the room, the beach, the spa….the restaurants and food, everything absolutely were beyond our expectations, housekeeping services, front desk crew, everyone was top notch, esp. big thanks to the “Tides” crew, one of our favorite restaurants on site and thanks to Deesha, Joelle, Parmeet….Ms. Nadia at the front desk, Ms. Tahiri from the SPA depapartment, “Chopsticks” crew Shanon and Hashim…thanks everyone, looking forward to seeing you all again. Best vacation ever

We stayed at Long Beach for 12 nights with our little son (1 year old). On arrival we were welcomed by very friendly staff and offered a welcome drink. This was the start of the vacation of our dreams. We've had the best time. Exploring the beach, different restaurants and sport facilities. Luckily the hotel has car seats so we could also go and explore the rest of the island. It was amazing. We would definitely recommend it to everyone!

Longbeach, has a lovely stay

Had a great time at Longbeach from late May through to early June. Lovely hotel, great location right on the beach. The service staff are amazing, especially Kumar in the Shores bar and Tushan in Tides. Both of those guys are excellent and make the stay so amazing, their customer service is top class. Really loved Rohan as well. He goes between places as Sommelier and makes sure you have everything you need. Sundhoo in Shores is superb as well, very attentive. Overall, a lovely hotel with great staff.

Wonderful family holiday at Long beach

We've just finished a wonderful 10 day stay at Long beach. Firstly I would say that if you have really exacting standards or are not keen on animals then you may be disappointed as service can be quite relaxed and there were a few minor issues- our safe never fixed, water not replaced, cats and dogs wondering around. None of these things impacted on our stay (we loved the animals especially- more on this later- pls read!) Service was super friendly- special mention to Isaac at the pool for great service with a smile, Oliver the pool manager for always going above and beyond and sending best wishes for the birth of his new baby! Roshita in Le Marche and many others. Fantastic food and service in Chopsticks- our kids loved having photos taken with the chefs! We changed room at the start of the holiday as we were far from the pool but reception gave us a new room the same day- 249 which was perfectly positioned for restaurants, pool and beach. This was a family room- very spacious, super comfy beds- we slept so well here! No bathroom doors in adults bathroom if you're after any privacy! I have to follow a strict gluten free diet and The chef met with me to discuss my requirements which was very kind. There were GF pancakes and cake available every morning for me however the chef did say that they would label the foods for allergens but this was not done and even the GF section wasn't signed. It would be really helpful to have better signage in the buffet. The pool and beach are wondeful. We did a trip to Ile aux cerfs- supposedly the best beach on the island. This was massively overrated. Our hotel beach was far nicer! I really wouldn't recommend bothering however the boat trip was great so a snorkelling trip would be good to do. If you walk further along the beach from the hotel to the right past the next hotel there is a brilliant snorkelling spot and soft sand. Definitely bring water shoes as there are sea urchins and sharp coral. Dogs! There are a number of cats and stray beach dog's wondering around the hotel and beach. These are all so sweet natured and we adored them however some other guests did not. I met with a guy Christopher on the beach who is part of the charity 4 Paws rescue and relocation. They are working with hotels to find sponsors for the animals with some being adopted by holiday makers. Long beach is supposed to be setting up a feeding station for the dogs to prevent them coming in to the restaurants. Please have a look at the charity or facebook page as well as the Facebook page Belle Mare strays. They are doing a brilliant job in sterilising, treating, feeding and fostering these dogs. Please donate if you can as there are 400,000 stray dogs in Mauritius due to lack of sterilisation esp during covid. We are going to sponsor 2 of the female dogs (pictured- Pebble and Sandy) from the hotel and hope Long beach will continue to work with this charity to improve the lives of these sweet beach strays. A few other things: we had great weather- much better than forecasted- high 20s most days with just one grey, rainy day though the occasional quick shower. Check in was efficient (note check in is from 2pm but just use the shower rooms and hit the pool if you arrive early!) Lovely drinks though the new Sante cocktails not always available. We did half board as we are not big drinkers and it worked out much cheaper than AI. I used the gym a few times which was super well equipped I was really impressed! Also lovely lap pool and climbing wall. We didn't use the kids club but heard good things. A few minor things to iron out to be truely 5 star but would certainly recommend. We had a blissful holiday! I highly recommend a visit to Long Beach Hotel. We visited the hotel for my daughters’ birthday. The service received from all staff, with a special mention to Muddoo, Master Goohah, and Pritesh, for their personal touches, etched a wonderful holiday memory to remember the hotel by. My family and I had a wonderful time and we would definitely visit again. A special thank you to the management team for their patience. Their first class service made the trip everything we could of hoped for and is greatly appreciated. We thank you from the heart.

2 weeks at Long Beach

We arrived on an early flight the staff were friendly and attentive but the wait for our room at 2 pm was very tiring . We were told we could use facilities by reception however were confronted by a bar staff member because we weren't given our room number as yet and had to find a senior staff member to sort it out as we were book all inclusive. Our Room was nice .plenty of wardrobe space the bed was comfy and the bathroom is lovely. We booked the Junior Pool Suite. However we were somewhat disappointed as you couldn't even see the pool from our suite.The service staff at meal times were attentive a special mention To Ben who was amazing and Marie Noelle, Suman always smiling and friendly. Sehriyaz who cleaned our room so nicely and made it such a pleasure to come back to each day . We had a few issues in the room .ants and the sliding doors to the patio were very hard to open and we reported twice and nothing was done .

Unforgettable Honeymoon Experience at Long Beach Hotel in Mauritius

During our honeymoon in Mauritius, we spent the first week at Long Beach hotel and were blown away by its beauty, modernity, and impeccable organization. From the friendly and personalized service to our comfortable room, everything was perfect. The hotel boasts a selection of superb restaurants, including the incredible Le Marche buffet. We later moved to a more expensive hotel in the north, but it couldn't hold a candle to Long Beach.

We had a lovely time, staff are friendly and helpful. The view from the adults pool was spectacular! The only thing we were not happy was the shower, it takes about 15minutes for the water to heat up and not powerful either. Also it takes 10minutes to walk to the restaurants, which is not fun when it’s raining! Our favourite restaurants were The Tides & Sapori

Chopsticks restaurant was okay. Le Marché’s breakfast was good and varied as well. Located on the windy side of the island.

Our time at Long Beach Hotel was amazing, my family and I had a great time. From the hotel itself to the food everything was memorable. A big thank you to Chef Rehad Khader for the heartwarming welcome and the delicious dishes he prepared which is a testament to his passion for culinary excellence. The steak dish which was seared to perfection, and the seafood platter was one of the best we've had on the island. Overall, a beautiful hotel, friendly staff, white sandy beach and awesome sea activities!!

However, i noticed a couple of the pool bar staff behind the bar were not so friendly towards other bar staff servers when they had not done anything wrong....felt like some of them were being "bullied" and not of a pleasant nature and it wasnt nice to see. One of the bar staff behind the bar in particular was miserable everyday no hello, no smile ....very non descript and quite frankly miserable when serving the guests. Can make you feel uncomfortable! Good facilities. Excellent restaurants and variety of food. Spacious rooms but could do with being refreshed. Queen size spacious bed, very comfortable and the bed linen good quality and cool. Very nice scent of the fresh laundry bed linen, towels. Good size towels in the room and good size towels provided for the beach. Cleaning and attention to detail in the room could be better. Floor not cleaned daily so sometimes left with sand or dust. Left without toilet roll, it was left to run down and not replaced until there was none left. At one point in the day was left on the toilet whilst my other half had to walk all the way to reception to ask for a roll. Left for 3 days without the face flannels they provide. They were taken away on day 3 and not replaced until day 6. Pools in june cold and very chilly, for a five star hotel these pools should and I would expect to be heated at least in the cooler winter months. It wasn't a pleasure to use them as the water was that chilly. Not just us who made the comment about this. Would recommend the hotel put some bench seating in the waiting area for the taxis as there are none whatsoever to sit down whilst waiting. We either stood or sat on the hard tiled floor for an hour waiting for our taxi back to the airport. A simple thing to provide. LOVED having the friendly stray dogs and cats around despite their very sad situation of not having homes and just seeking security, comfort, affection and belonging with the guests around them and trying to survive on the scraps found on the floor or food given to them by the guests with the hearts to feed them. I would hope that the hotel , at the very least, would give to them all the waste food that is thrown away to them. At least they would suffer less hunger and provide a few tubs of fresh water daily dotted around even be it on the beach front placed in the shade under some of the trees. So simple to do yet so helpful and beneficial for the dogs and cats. I know it would make many of the guests happy to see this. I did not observe any guests who were perturbed by the presence of the dogs or the cats in and around the hotel, to the contrary people welcomed them and witnessed people chosing to sponsor them to help with their well being or even adopt them. They are the talk everyday by the majority of the guests! ...in the good sense!

Much needed escape

We are curre to on a 10 day holiday here and it has been amazing so far, The room is clean, cool and spacious. The facilities are great, we have embraced the snorkelling, the kayaking, the pedallos and the glass bottom boat. The staff are all friendly and attentive and the food is amazing especially for an all inclusive. We have tried all the restaurants and enjoy that Tides have a different evening menu every night. We have also tried the chef table experience at Hasu, a little known secret that isnt advertised nearly enough, you get a true experience of sushi and the chef talks you through everything, its a paid experience but VERY worth!!. We also want to make a mention of Stephanie who took us on the nature trail and showed us the bees, despite us just turning up she took time to take us all around and show us all the sustainable things the hotel are trying to acheive and even took us to the chef garden for bananas taken off the tree! WOW!!! she is passionate and it shows!! Another experience not advertised enough is the chef experience where the chef takes you to the market and then brings you back to cook a mauritian meal!!! Again its a paid experience but with the standard of food we have tried i cant wait to see how this will be!! Will be back to tell you how good it is!!!

Fabulous holiday, 5* hotel.

We stayed at Long Beach Resort 24th May- 11th June 2023 all inclusive, we had a fabulous holiday, this is a 5* resort with great entertainment & food. We are a family of 4 ( 2 children aged 11 & 14), stayed in a junior suite which was spacious and was cleaned to a high standard . All staff were lovely and couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable. We met the General Manager Christian Jaquier, who took his time to speak to the guests, he was helpful and keen to hear about guests experience at the hotel and will suggest things to do during your stay. The kids club was great and keen to keep all families occupied, Sharma the sports manager was always helpful and always engaged with us and the kids to get us doing something new. Nicolas & the Beach Water Sports team were great with all of us. Nicolas was able to advise us of activities to do during our stay. Night entertainment was at Shores Bar was different every night whilst we were there and was upbeat and got people up dancing. We have stayed 3 times in Mauritus and this is the best hotel for entertainment. The Shores bar staff which made our stay more enjoyable was Kumar, Kusal, Oodaye and Soobaraj who were fantastic with all guest whilst we were there, always friendly and the drinks were always being topped up if needed. We visited Chopsticks the Chinese Restaurant and met Raj who was very friendly and welcoming, and Samia who worked in Italian Restaurant and Tides was efficient and welcoming, not a negative comment about the staff in the hotel. The food in Chopsticks and Tides was fantastic. The beach was beautiful, and always enough sun beds. The bar near the swimming pool was also fantastic, swimming pool good for the everyone. Me and my daughter aged 14 visited the spa, we had a great mum/daughter experience and would highly recommend this, reasonably priced and relaxing time. No negatives about this hotel, we will definitely be returning, thank you Long Beach for our holiday!

Our amazing Hoilday at Long Beach

We stayed at long Beach in May 2023 for 2 weeks we arrived at Hotel to a lovely cold drink and a nice cold face cloth check in was very quick the only disappointment was we had done an overnight flight we been awake 27 hours and room was not ready yet but they offered us use of a lovely shower to refresh ourselves which was nice we went down to the beach had a drink and some lunch than went back to be taken to our room. Out room was lovely shower or bath tv fridge with coke beer milk apple juice it was refreshed every day there was tea and coffee in your room there was pod coffee two free ones than you pay if you wanted anymore of them we didn't touch them we also had water in our room too. The beach was lovely you need Beach shoes in the sea as there sea urchins on the bottom so beach shoes were advised by tui we had staff coming to the sun beds on the beach taking your order for drinks you sign for everything drinks lunch and dinner but not breakfast we were all inclusive food was amazing the Italian restaurant amazing food love that you can see the chefs cooking. If you want to go to the chop sticks or Italian or seafood restaurant you just go and see the concierge where you eat breakfast and they will book it for you the only restaurant you have to pay for was the Japanese restaurant Hasu which we didn't go to but wish we had as was told food was amazing too. The staff were amazing couldn't do enough for us Anastasia, Melissa, Celine so beautiful flowers at breakfast and a teaspoon for my husband for his pudding even before my husband asked them they had it in there pocket for him. Also Marco at lunch time was lovely bar staff really friendly. Ashvin Dookhee was lovely he couldn't do enough for us thank you. We did a trip the South of the island with tui with Lindley as are tour guide so you can ask for him with tui tours he was amazing. We also did walking with the lions at Casela Nature Park that was amazing staff there was absolutely amazing too. Thank you Long Beach for an amazing hoilday.

The resort is huge, the hotel great. Personel is very kind and helps in all situations. 5 restaurants available, for my as a European guest Tides and Sapori have been the best, as italian/mediteranian cuisine are always prepared (reservation necessary, for AI guests no extra charging). Only the rooms need a general renovation, as they are quite old and not anymore up-to-date. In June it is quite windy and it is Mauritian winter, but we enjoyed the beach and the time spent there.

Blissful stay at Longbeach resort and spa Mauritius

We had the most magical experience on this beautiful island and especially this resort is just next to the beach. The property has amazing view overlooking the sea. The staff is absolutely courteous, helpful and loving. They always helped us to choose the right menu and the must try Mauritian delicacies. Special thanx to chef Raya and chef Shailesh who made my wife’s bday celebration memorable by baking special cake. Thanx to the restaurant manager Raj for arranging a special dinner for the occasion. Also kudos to the staff at the breakfast restaurant who wud always greet and serve us with a smile every morning. To name a few there were Vimal, Ritesh, Natalie who were so hospitable. Also Mr. Byru from the housekeeping for the amazing origami in the room to bring in the special occasion. The property is so vast and luxurious. The view from the infinity pool is breathtaking. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The water activities such as snorkelling, kayaking, glass bottom boat ride, paddle boat, etc which are included in the stay were thoroughly enjoyed by us. The hotel also has various other activities like archery, wall climbing, aqua yoga, water polo, etc which just keeps u engaging. Highly recommend this property for a enjoyable and relaxed stay in Mauritius.

What an amazing holiday!!! Mauritius was such a beautiful island and the locals were so friendly. When we arrived at the hotel it felt like paradise. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff couldn’t do enough for you but I feel I should mention a few who went above and beyond. Sarah cleaned and always left beautiful frangipane flowers to decorate. Kumah always had our drinks and a seat ready, Kitesh was our fantastic waiter and Vicky looked after us at the pool bar but the main man was Puttyah, he is a chef in the main buffet kitchen. He made time in his busy schedule to teach me how to make dhalpuri bread and then a prawn curry which my husband and I were able to eat for lunch. He was amazing and I am very grateful to him. A wonderful holiday and I can’t wait to return.

A beautiful place for a wedding

Absolutely loved our stay at the Long Beach hotel. We have chosen this venue as a place to renew our vows for our 10th wedding anniversary and to have a family holiday. Morna in Special events team looked after our wedding arrangements and she was absolutely brilliant. It’s not that often you meet people who are absolutely amazing at their job. She listened to all our needs, helped with the children on the day (toddler meltdowns) and gave the recommendations for flowers/photographers/cake which were spot on. We had an option to have the ceremony in front of the hotel amongst beautiful palm trees but we wanted the spot to be more secluded and private and Morna managed to find a perfect spot near the beach for us. The hotel has a wonderful kids club. Our daughter loved being there and kept asking to go there every day. For the smaller children who are still in the nappies there was an option to hire a 1:1 nanny at a reasonable price. We took advantage of the service and used the time to do parasailing, water skiing, boat rides, yoga, spa, etc. There were multiple golf buggies available to take you from point A to point B, especially relevant if your room is further away and you didn’t fancy a walk. We stayed on all inclusive basis and I am glad we chose this option, otherwise the drinks would have been expensive. Most nights we ate at the buffet restaurant and selection was nice, I would however add more simple options for children, as the really young ones can be fussy eaters and not very experimental. Towards the end I worked out that I could order some things for them a La cart, so this helped to keep my little ones happy. We loved our stay and would totally recommend this resort.

Not a good first impression

We have paid for a 7 night holiday and we have arrived 2 days later to find out our room is not ready and after a 12h flight we're still in the hotel lobby as I'm writing this. When I have questioned this , i was simply told that the check in is not at this time and I'll have to wait, i still understand how paying for a 7 night stay and arriving 2 days later can account for the room not beeing ready. No mention of any complementary benefits of course. I hope this holiday will pick up.

Great hotel with superb facilities on a wonderful beach. Just returned from a 10 night holiday at Long Beach on half board basis. All staff at this hotel were genuinely very friendly, professional and stepped above the line to ensure we had a great holiday. All four a la carte restaurants and the buffet restaurants were great. The sports centre facilities were superb and the free watersports on the beach. I would highly recommend this hotel. Thank you to the whole team at the hotel for making this holiday a memorable experience.

My Long Beach Resort Stay

Long Beach has been our go to resort for our family since 2012. It's a great family getaway. There are a variety of restaurants and activities at the resort. The SPA at long beach is fantastic, the therapists are the best. Our dismay this time around was the uncomfortable beds. Even after the manager came through personally to assist, it did not help with our stiff necks and sore backs the remainder days. Also each room does not have an iron/steamer for those quick iron out of your clothes before dinners.

We had great time spending our holidays in Long Beach resort this year. 11 days were gone in no time but in between... beside as it would imagine the great nature, super focused care of the entire staff, delicious food of highest standards, hotel's features, surroundings, every evening live music performances, available sport utilities, and.... I could go on and on like this, but the bottom line is we were seriously spoilt and could stay like that for much longer. I don't regret any minute of 23 hrs travel to get the reward of experiencing such quality time. Compliments for the lay out of resort and infrastructure, all so well thought out. Architecture fits in wonderful exotic jungle. My special thanks to Olivier (him & me on the photo) for his endless efforts to make our stay the most enjoyable. My dear friend Gan at the Tides pool bar and the Shores bar staff, thank you for makings us diabetes after all these sweet treats. We had a very nice welcoming. Check in formalities was done quickly and clear explanation of the resort was given. Thank you Soudesh and Chandan for organising us dinner in Chopstick restaurant. Food was amazing there. On first night, there was a manager name Raj who was constantly shouting at a waitress. He made us feel inferior by ignoring us as Mauritians. He even went round table talking to all the foreign guests and completely ignored us. 2nd time we went to Chopstick for a birthday celebration and the assistant manager Mohabeer has been a gem. He was very polite and super friendly. Hashim has been taking great care of us both days. Room was nicely done. However, we asked for iron and it took more than 30 mins to arrive. Big thanks to Ajay from bell desk, Toori and Jack from Bar.

Had a Spa session at Long Beach. The massage itself was very relaxing and the therapist (Ms Simla) was excellent. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, we were in excellent hands! The staff are all wonderful, friendly and go out of their way to make guests feel welcome. The Hotel is immaculate and the stunning sea views ! Will be coming back as soon as I can.

We travelled to Mauritius in July and sent a week in two different resorts. In the South for 3 nights and 4 nights at Long Beach and I wish we had just stay at Long Beach for the whole time. The hotel was fantastic, staff were caring and couldn't do enough for you. The rooms were clean and spacious and amenities were wonderful. There was a very lovely warm welcome which made us not want to leave. This hotel was probably one of THE BEST I've stayed at. They provided both myself and my daughter a birthday cake as we had travelled as part of our birthdays. They were constantly checking if we were OK and needed anything. It's a fantastic place for children with lots of activities to do. I cannot fault this place. Thank you Long Beach Mauritius we had a fantastic time and will see you again.

Such a beautiful place! We arrived on a morning flight, and were welcomed warmly by Arish. We freshened up in the comfortable hospitality lounge, and could use all facilies till our room was ready. Kamlesh was so helpful and pleasant! Housekeeping was prompt with every request. Long Beach has something for everyone- endless beach, lovely pools, snorkelling, paddling, kids entertainment- even for teens (archery, rock climbing, tennis, volleyball etc). Faizel and Astrid were awesome!!! The breakfast and dinner buffet was our favorite, esp with great choices for fussy eaters - oh , and the pastries... and chocolate ...wow! Will we return? Definitely! Thanks for a memorable holiday

Amazing Resort

As it’s my second visit this year, you can say that I love Long Beach. I stayed in one of the beach front room with a gardening view, well worth the extra money, the room staffs Indiren always there to help with anything , very attentive service . Lunch at the tides restaurant is such a beautiful setting, elevated setting overlooking the beach and the sea, waiter marco and deesha always there to welcome you by name and knows what you want to drink before you ask. Only issue I had is with the Sommelier Rohan who approached me with a deal about rose wine for cash…second day also by Husu restaurant I have offer the same proposal …it feel very awkward ,as I have derived to get service not to be treaty .And not to forget the little lady Sarah who was very helpful. Thoroughly recommend this resort and I will definitely be back…but please explain to the wine service guy not to awkward my holiday…

The whole hotel staff was very efficient, this is especially true for the team working at the reception - which took care of car booking, documents printing etc... The staff working at the Sapori restaurant was simply excellent and truly contributed to make the stay unforgettable - Marie-Noelle whom ensured we would always have a table, Natalie, Yushra and Ritesh were extremely nice and pro-active. Last - the team working the nautic activities were equally fantastic, always ready to help and support for cayaking, paddle, providing material for snorkelling. A great hotel and a great dedicated staff - thank you !!

Long Beach, the long-lasting disappointment..

Our family of 21 people stayed at Long Beach hotel for 4 days. We were previously at Le Cannonier in the North of the island where we had spent 6 exceptional days with impeccable service prior to coming to Long Beach. As soon as we got to the hotel, the vibe was very different from what we experienced at Le Cannonier. The welcome greetings were short and cold. The rooms are spacious and have lots of storage space. One of our rooms had an issue with the pillows that smelled very bad, so make sure to verify that the linen in your room is fresh and clean when you get to your room. The hotel grounds are well kept and there are lots of seats on the beach. The beach is nice but take note that that part of the island is windy. Sports activities are well varied- there is a centralized activity area with a gym, kids club, tennis courts, soccer field, etc, so it’s very convenient. Food is below average. The buffet is redundant and they don’t have much variety, especially for kids. The ingredients don’t taste fresh and the food is just bland. What really shocked us was the service which was insanely below standard. Some of us have been to this hotel two times before and they acknowledged that there has been a huge downgrade in the level of the service compared to before the pandemic. Our lunch at Sapori took 1 hr to arrive, some of us didn’t even get asked what we wanted to drink and our waiter totally ignored us when we asked him why the wait was so long (our kids were starving). After complaining to the manager and her boss, they finally apologized and they guaranteed that our experience would be different from then on. In fairness, they prepared a special table for our group for supper and offered free drinks as compensation which was a nice gesture. However, the next day, some of us went to Tides restaurant by the pool for lunch. Our kids had to go to the washroom before sitting down at the tables, so their dads went to find our spots in the meantime. Barely 2 minutes after sitting down, Mr.Essen, the restaurant manager, came to them advising that if their whole party was not there yet, they would have to give their tables to someone else. My husband said his wife and kids just went to the bathroom and will be there shortly but he replied that if someone else gets here first and needs the spot, he would have to give it to them. How courteous and professional?? Thankfully, the rest of us came back right then and he had no choice but let us keep our tables. Lunch was ok and took less time to arrive but Mr.Essen was the rudest manager I’ve ever seen. He was unprofessional, mean and he made us feel unwelcomed at the Tides restaurant during the whole meal. He even replied sarcastically to one of our family members who was asking a question about the menu. Also, the staff seems untrained and most of the time when you ask a question, you would get 2-3 different answers. Some of them did not even know what our meal package consisted of… On the bright side, there are exceptions to the rule. Special thanks to Mr Ashvin who took care of our dinner table and free drinks and tried really hard to improve our experience, Mr Alain who also came to inquire about our misadventures, Mrs Pamela and Mrs.Vimi at Tides who were both very friendly and helpful and Mr.Joanel at the boathouse that made the snorkeling trip an exceptional one. Big kudos to Mr. Stephane aka “Morgan Freeman” who makes the most beautiful custom made bracelets on the beach. Please ask for him if you need one, you will not be disappointed. Overall, I would definitely not recommend this hotel. Their 5 star is overrated and there is a general lack of hospitality and staff training. We are still in disbelief on how we were treated and we felt unwelcomed during our time here. If you want to feel the mauritian care and attention, please go to another hotel. Our only wish is for our stay at Long Beach to be Long gone now…

Very nice place. The spa treatments is the best. I had 2 treatments with Marion. She is very good. The food is also very good...just expensive if you are looking for lobster, prawns or sushi. But the other food included is also very nice. The rooms are really nice and everyone is very helpful and friendly.

Went to Hasu Restaurant with family, very good food & friendly staff. Thanks to the chef who gave us good food. Thanks to the assistant manager who assit us & explain us a bit about the foods & drinks of the restaurant.

Our family had a Wonderful dinner at Hasu Restaurant, thanks to the excellent service provided by the staff. They were very welcoming and friendly. We were especially impressed with the chef who took the time to explain and prepare our dishes to our preferences. Special thanks go to Mr. Ashvin (or Arvin apologies for forgetting his name) who made our dinning experience memorable. Also the Sushi was DELICIOUS. Its my first time trying them. Overall, we highly recommend Hasy Restaurant for anyine looking for good quality food and service.

Everything Me and my Family Experienced was so so wonderful, everything was absolutely amazing and perfect in its own way , whole hotel staff was very very cooperative, the ambience of the restaurants there was fantastic, everything was really very good, especially the people working there Like Sitaram Sharma at the sports activities who was very very helpful and kind with us and made our stay even more enjoyable, Vandini at the front desk was very polite and helpful too, overall our stay at the hotel was by far the best we together have every experienced
