Hong Kong

Hong Kong is a bridge between the East and the West. The city on the coast of the Chinese mainland was under British rule from 1841 until 1997, and is now an autonomous state of China. The modern mix of British and Chinese culture and architecture makes this a truly unique city.
This is a shopper’s paradise, from massive luxury malls such as The Landmark and Harbour City Mall, to the street markets of Kowloon, or any of the many bespoke tailors found around the city. Meanwhile, Hong Kong Disneyland is an experience for the whole family.
Take a cable car to Victoria Peak, the former high point of British colonial society that gives views of the city and bay, or dine in luxury at the top of a skyscraper. Visitors can also escape the city streets and visit the Outlying Islands and New Territories to experience hidden rural locales, temples and villages.
