Kuta

Kuta Village is one of Bali’s original tourist destinations. On the western side of a narrow isthmus it is known as the sunset beach for good reason. Its fantastic beach, wide range of accommodation options and proximity to Ngurah Rai International Airport make it a popular destination, so if you’re going in the busy season (July, August, December and January), you will have to book well in advance.
Kuta is a bustling town with plenty of things to do. Many people come for the nightlife, with everything from relaxed beachfront bars to lively nightclubs where you can dance into the wee hours. It’s also a foodie’s paradise with Indonesian and international restaurants all over – be sure to have lunch in a local Warung at least once, you’ll get a cheap meal of fresh fish, rice and veggies straight off the grill.
During the day, visitors can hit the shops, visit a local temple, or spend the day enjoying the rides at the Waterbom Bali water park. The beach offers swimming, surfing, snorkelling, and beach games such as volleyball.
