Jimbaran Bay is a fishing village and resort destination with luxury and affordable resorts and hotels, famous for its seafood. Jimbaran restaurants specialise in letting diners choose their own live seafood, which is then grilled over a coconut husk fire to give it a unique flavour.
Jimbaran Beach is the main attraction in the area, lined with shady coconut palms and dotted with boats, resorts and beachside bars and restaurants. The nearby Suluban beach is a great spot for surfing, or just for enjoying the beautiful scenery and limestone rock formations. Pandawa Beach is the destination for snorkelling, parasailing and other water sports. You can also go fishing on a traditional Jimbaran outrigger canoe.
For a dose of culture, visit the Garuda Wisnu Kencana, a park with a series of attractions, shows, festivals and a giant statue of the Hindu god Vishnu. Uluwatu Temple is one of the most iconic scenes in the Jimbaran, sitting on the edge of a cliff overlooking the sea and surrounded by a forest full of cheeky macaque monkeys.
